Freedom, blah whole load of bull to me however I do enjoy the stuggles of freedom fighters like the UK an Star Fraction becuase of this one thing, it allows me to test my ability to annihalate massive quantitys of innocents, disguised as collateral damage, with new and entertaining methods of destruction that often cost much less then the damage they do. So for the engineers of those who fight for freedom I pose a test.
Take an iteron MK 5 it can haul up to 27000 m3 of pretty much anything I hear. While reclined in my lawn chair overlooking the cavernous munitions hanger of corprate GHQ, talking to a industral mate of mine who flys these ships, I spotted a stack of large antimatter charges. My sick mind putt 1+1 together and got 3, so I asked him would I be able to modify the innards of that cavernous hauler into a giant antimatter holding chamber and if I set that off next to say a large populated starbase ,Jita IV, IV caldari navy assembly plant, how much damage would i do?
So come on gentelmen and ladys knock you heads together and lets get some numbers, how much antimatter can it hold, how large is the blast, how powerful?
I see this as a new method of getting a point across if no one listens to your peaceful protest then they will sure as hell listen to that quantity of antimatter parked on their doorstep.

I salute you brother.

Some quick number crunching brings me to the conclusion that the blast yield would be about on par with that of the Gallente Doomsday Device (ie complete annihilation of all unhardened targets within a few kilometers, and critical damage to all hardened targets as well). The unreacted antimatter would generate a sort of 'fallout' that would be scattered by the explosion, causing long term damage over a wide area (assuming I did my math right).
Thats if it was detonated next to a station or in deep space. If said ship were to be crashed into a planet or detonated over a population center....

Edited by: Doktor Quick on 15/01/2007 06:04:10 hrm, an interesting problem, given the amount antimatter you could theoretically generate millions of megatons of force, but only if you were able to force the antimatter to react properly with an equal amount of normal matter. In other words you would have to mix the two elements almost completely before a reaction occurred in order to get maximum yield, which is no easy task to say the least. Thats always the problem with total conversion bombs, though if you did manage it you could probably irradiate at least the facing hemisphere of a planet, if not several.
Edit: ((If you really want to talk about damage, check this out http://qntm.org/destroy ))
