Well, that was exhausting. The shareholder meeting today 14th January at 20:00 went off with very little problems, despite spamming in the public channel by some goonswarm members. We simply banned goonswarm from the public chanel that was being used to ask questions and everything was smooth from there on in.
A chatlog is availible here: http://www.eve-tanking.com/chatlog.txt
The major points are: - Several ISS public stations have been forcibly taken over by a combined force so large that we could not stop it despite best efforts. The shares in those stations are no longer producing dividends.
- Even though we recognise that investments carry these kinds of risks and all shareholders should know that, ISS are providing something of a safetynet to revalue shares at the cost of our own isk.
- We will be offering an exchange program or buy-back programme for shares, determined by a shareholder vote to ISSBO, ISSCA, ISSMO. Note: The exchange programme allows players to exchange their dead outpost shares for some active ISSO shares.
- The exchange program will the based on 50% of the ROI against total IPO price of the outpost corporations vs. the guaranteed 5% on ISSO shares. (exact financial plan and values for each share type will be posted by Serenity Steele prior to the shareholder vote)
- The reason for this calculation is because it's what the ISS can afford without impacting the ISSO IPO.
- The ISSO IPO will continue to deliver returns as stated and is not impacted by the fall of the ISS Outpost corporations. The business plans will be slightly modified but will work at other locations. Minimum buy will be lowered to 100m and batches for smaller transactions possible through EGSE (after confirmation with EGSE).
- ISSPO will be put to vote to find a buyer, and continue operations as normal until that time.
- Shareholder votes will occur in the next 7 days (as soon as we practically can). Exchange rates will be published before hand, and in the vote messages.
- Vote messages go to all holders of the ISSCA, ISSBO, ISSMO shares.
All in all, what this means for you is that your shares in the outpost corporations are not worthless and your ISSO shares are completely unaffected by the loss of outposts we have suffered or the trading of ISSO shares for old outpost shares. The ISSO IPO will continue to pay out a 5% dividend.
The reception seemed very positive. A lot of people turned up thinking their shares were worthless and at the end of it all, everyone seemed pleased that they wouldn't be losing their investments. I even saw some ISSO shares selling under issue price just prior to the meeting and by the time the meeting was half over, they had been snapped up.
Any further questions can be evemailed to me and I'll try to get an answer back as soon as I can. Or you could post them here and I'll try to answer what I can.

As an ISSO shareholder I am pleased with the report. I was unable to make the meeting but based on the bulleted points I see no reason to question my investment... in fact I am debating a larger investment based on the way this is being handled.

I doubt that anyone with a serious investment sold at 100k each. It's mainly people with only a few shares that paniced and sold cheap, as far as I know.

People actually took that deal? I thought it was a joke!
Hats off to ISS for this, too. As an ISSBO and ISSO shareholder, this sort of thing only increases their stature in my eyes.

Congratulations to ISS for pulling a financial management and public relations victory out of a diplomatic and military disaster. I heard of the plan, and as an outpost corp shareholder didn't think much of it until I sat down with the details. Sweet.
However, my heart bleeds for those poor ISS members who had sleepless nights running the logistics to build that Nyx, only for it to be sold off without launching a fighter in anger. That must hurt.

Of course a buy back means that if the ISS take the outposts back later on they will own them. They can keep them or sell shares again and they get good public relations out of the deal. Nice.

While at the same time, ISSO shareholders would get a value boost.

Never. ISS itself doe snot have the military power to attack and recapture those ouposts. They could hire mercs like MC etc , but this would financially be very risky since hiring mercs does 1) not guarantee the recapture of stations 2) the problem of defence remains
The only option I see for ISS is either try to buy it back (which they won't do) or ask help from friends. Maybe all those blues will want to help in a miraculous was.
And lets not forget , ISS is not solely based on those outpost. By having docking rights in nearly every region , they do not rly need own outposts.
