Greetings people reading this,
Me and a friend started a manufacturing corp recently and we would like some advice on which Bpc's to buy (besides ammo bpc's) for some steady income.
We will settle ourselves in one of the lvl4 agentmission systems as we thought thats the best place to start for selling ammo (cruisemissiles) what else do the agent runners need besides those? Any hints?
And last but not least, any general tips for a starting industrialist?
Thanks in advance.

Edit: If you can, maybe set-up your own small pos somewhere with just a control tower and some research labs, it might make your job a lot easier.

Edited by: Daos Leghki on 15/01/2007 18:40:42 Blueprint choice is one of the hardest things about manufacturing, the other being logistics. There are three factors to consider. Profit per item, volume you can expect to sell and initial costs. If you're making things off BPCs you get less profit per item, but the initial costs are less. Another thing to consider is how fast you can make things. Ammunition is a great seller, but takes longer to build, so you're unlikely to saturate the market just by yourself.
Modules are a good way to start out because you can buy the BPO relatively cheap. The margins on modules aren't too bad either. Ships tend to have much tighter margins, but you're only making one build job instead of a dozen. Either way, pick your poison, so to speak.
Finally, you might have heard of it already, but in case you haven't I suggest you read GC13's excellent guide on prodution and Kaii's wonderful guide on trading. Both are very insightful and will help you start out.
PS.- You also probably thought of this, but it really helps to diversify your BPO collection. If one week, everyone decides not to buy cap mods, you're pretty screwed if you make only cap mods. But, if you make a variety of goods, you can be more or less buffered against those kinds of market fluctuations, and you can spot and move into different markets faster.

Hello Gertisan,
I'm just in the process of starting up my BPC business and I would be willing to make you some great deals over what you would pay elsewhere. I'am currently researching BPO's for Mining Drones, Scout drones, Med hybrid ammo, and most crusiers (Moa, Vexor, Thorax, Maller, Caracal). If you interested drop me an eve-mail and we can talk.

Actually regarding what to produce I have one simple advice just ask the missions runners where you are what they need. I am sure a lot of them will be happy to sub contract supply to a willing industrialist. If you ask nicely, you will get lot of precious info and you will get your industry going. Have fun.

add to this if you have the type of mission runners who are not such avid collectors of loot and salvaging; there may be openings available to any willing loot monkeys
