System BJ-ZFD-
I know there is a new patch openinng the grids to 7000 something km.
But when i undock from my station in BJ-ZFD.
It feels a bit akward when the rats target paint me from the gate to 5-ELE 16000 km away.
Is that a glitch or should it be like that. ?
They show up in my overwiew. although they are 16000 km away.
Just wondering.

Yes i guess thats what i am asking or maybe i am pointing at a glitch for their attention.
Either way they want it.
Acording to my knowledge the grids should be 7000 something km.

The minimum size of a grid has been changed, however grids can still be larger then that and grid fu can also still be used.
In your case what is probably happening is that the celestials are close enough together that their two grids would overlap, so they combine into 1 grid.
The rat ewar needs some adjusting imo, but the grids are just working as intended under the new minimum sizes.

So the grid at my station overlaps with the grid for the gate.
And that gives me the godlylike gift to watch for ships at 16000km.
Actually that gives me the advantage when it comes to chasing neuts in my system.
I understand what happened here but i truly dont think this is what CCP had in mind.
Ah well nwm.
Thx for answer and i just wanted to throw this out there as a thought. |

As long as I can remember rats or any other NPC use their EWAR grid wide.
Mind you, this is from personal experience as I have perceived it since I started playing.
My guess is that now the grid size has been slightly enlarged by just a tiny bit (cough...cough...) the merry NPC's still use their EWAR grid wide.
Which now of course can mean even at several thousand kilometres.
Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format.
Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......
