Edit: question : why have a picture of a not very appealing man on your screen when you can have a woman?
next question: why would it bother people to have a woman character instead of a man unless they do that hole rp bullsh*t like WoW morons ?

There can be all sorts of reasons why men would want to play female characters. A refreshing variation in RP, something comfortable to look at, or just because the race/bloodline/sex combination is more appealing. There is nothing strange about it in my opinion at least. When you have the chance to create and play something of your choice, why not try different things.
My miner alt is a female true Amarr, because I like how incredibly malicious and hardcore evil they look. It may work on a mental level for pirates as well. Male pirates refrain from attacking because it's a girl, while female pirates keep away because of that look on her face.. the look that says "I got a ******* Malediction docked right over there, and I'm going to *****you with it if you don't sod off right now"

While my main is male, my carebear alt is an Achura female. Why? Well, firstly for variety's sake. Secondly, my main is butt ugly (I more or less clicked random and ok'ed it) and the only things uglier than my main are Achura males, and all Minmatar. *ducks*

Well, maybe you're just not into hole rp yet, and I can understand that for most outsiders it just looks like you're digging a hole and then sitting in it. But I assure you, that's not the thing at all. Through our shared consciousness we become the hole. Have you ever tried being a hole before? You really should try it- it's an experience quite unlike anything else I've ever experienced.
EVE is also very good for hole rp compared to WoW, where holes have to be dug in the earth. You're not limited to simply digging holes in the mud- here we can also do experimental hole roleplaying with black holes, loopholes, plot holes, you name it. The possibilities are endless.

 Gallente Boobs are nice but its still creepy in my opinion when dudes play as chicks (makes me think of that secret transgender thread conspiracy that happened yesterday)
