You can add Cataclysm Enterprises (Fountain Alliance) to the list of known gridders. I know that this isen't the place for saying 'sploit but it just demonstrates that 'bounty hunters' are not always 'good' guys.
Professional pirates like us just left the gate camp and wrote a petition.

When it's grid-exploiting, when u fly towards a gate with 20 km/s and bounce back of it 150 km (wich is behind gridd) and then just fly back to the gate and got bounced back again (ggrrrrrr how i hate it when gates bounce u back) and then at the third time your bs jumps. Sorry then am I a gridder.

This from a pirate that thinks corp theft and scamming is legitimate business. Stop wining you little cry baby and go pod somebody if you can. Looks like you spend more time on the forums then playing the game. SHUT UP already.

If that's the case, I do apologize. It looked very very very suspicious since you were dropping in and out of my UI (and the other campers UIs as well).
I'd like everyone would prefer CCP to fix all grid issues.
In addenum: It's fun to steal things and grief people that can not tell what a trust exploit is and a game mechanical exploit or uses alts to post things.

Yes it was incredibly laggy last night with lots of 'rubber banding'. I approached a station 3 times, with it looming up before me and dissapearing again until I finally docked. This happened several times.
Why is it that when someone tells you that there are over a billion stars in the universe, you believe them, but if they tell you there is wet paint somewhere, you have to touch it to make sure? |

Edited by: Avon on 05/12/2003 15:43:50 I am getting seriously fed up with people smacking down pirates for reporting exploits.
It doesn't matter who reports it so long as it is reported.
Now in this case it would appear that Skillz may have made a mistake and this was a lag issue, but that is not to say that he has less right than anyone else to report an exploit.
Just because lots of people hate pirate does not negate the fact that pirates have a great knowlage of what is and isn't an exploit, and they are probably the most qualified people to report them.
A pirate reporting/petitioning an exploit does not make them a carebear, that arguement is pathetic. No-one should exploit, not even against a pirate, and anyone who is the victim of an exploit has a duty to report it. ______________________________________________

I think you'll find Avon, that pirates report more exploits due to the fact that the probably used them for days/weeks/months before they we classed as such. During that time they made hay podding noobs and veterans alike with those tactics.
To summerise, it takes one to know one.

People that 'spill over' roleplay and bias themselves in regard to issues of game mechanics. Meaning that Carebears can use exploits and pirates can't are:
Pathetic

There is nothing wrong with doing something if it is not classed as an exploit. If it is later defined as such it should be stopped, and reported. So, you are basically agreeing with me, pirates should report exploits, the fact they may have used them before they were defined as such has no bearing, it only puts them in a better position to spot them. ______________________________________________

Just because someone chooses the profession of piracy doesn't mean they are game exploiters.

Those are legitimate means of piracy. It is up to you and your own corp mates to prevent this from happening.
This is my opinion and not those of my corp as a whole. |

In my experience, as soon as someone goes out of the grid the lock goes off and it's impossible to lock them from the scanner.
And a couple of times there's been cases where I couldn't see ships but they could see me, or they couldn't see me and I could see them, but all ships were apparently in the same grid, there's just a loading bug or something.
And it's not an exploit simply being in a different grid, it's like being in range or not.

perhaps keeping in form with the "good player", skillz might have investigated the situation and asked the other side before making biased and unsubstantiated claims on the public forums
for example:
--- omg, i saw lord zap today, and i like tried to lock him but it said "the warp from your mom is preventing you from getting a lock" so next time you see him, beware of this "mom" sploit, OMG H4X!!!!111oneoneoene
edit: oh ooops, turns out he was just aligning for warp
