For the purposes of invention, the higher the meta level of an item you use the better your chance of success. So, I need to know which of these has the higher meta level or in other words is the best named version of the warp disruptor: Fleeting or Faint. The fleeting uses less cap but the faint uses less cpu so it isn't a clear cut case, at least for me, which is the best.

While cpu use trumps cap use in this case, it was quite common to see second or third best named items have the lowest fitting requirement and the best ones have the best core effectivity before CCP changed a lot of it all.
Like launchers, years ago arbalests werent the easiest to fit, but they did have the best rof and capacity. Second best rails used less cpu then prototypes that did the most damage iirr.
Most of that was changed sometime along the way and the best got to be the best in all regards. Seems scramblers didn't get there yet, that's all.
I'd go for the ones with the lowest cap use tbh, i'm not very sure but i think that fleeting was the top tier there.

I used to work under the assumption that lowest fitting req was highest meta level....but not only warp scrams leave this in doubt.
Check out the named medium shield extenders. One has lowest fitting reqs, but second highest shield hp added, another has second lowest fitting reqs, but highest shield hp added.
Which is the higher meta? hard to say after the changed Rod mentions above. Originally it was best core effectiveness, which would be lowest cap use for the scram, and highest hp added for the shield extender. Id go with that now.
