The perfect ships to tank a 10/10 complexs.
Gallente plex= interceptor ( the guns will miss and miss... and miss) Amarrian plex= interceptor ( lasers will miss.. )
Now heres where it gets tricky.
Minmitar plex= Abaddon ( you need something with lots of base hp) Fitting: highs- what ever Mids- 2 cap boosters-2 cap relays lows- 4 LAR II- 2 eanm(faction if possible) 1 dcu II
Full cargo of cap charges, and have a hauler with a full cargo of cap charges beside you, make sure you are the primary agro taker since you will be fueled by the hauler.
Caldari plex= Basicly the same as the minmitar one or a harpy, reason being 100km range + high speed.
get to 30-40km away then start blasting what ever you can make sure your ship does atleast 1kp/s.
Please comment on any of the ideas noted

As far as my understanding goes 'tanking' means 'absorbing huge amounts of damage while still surviving'. If that is what tanking means it already disqualifies the ceptors and the harpy :-)

tanking doesnt really have a definition.. the point of the thread is to point out how to take the damage from the complex ---

not to mention that in the last stage u have round about 8 web sentrys at u which means ur advantage of being fast and so get no damage is gone.
Anyhow we did the 10/10 up where we live a few times with a caldari command ship but then it happend that the pilots wasnt availebale so we thought about something different, which was an isthar with a bit of shield and armor tank. As the ishtar needs no guns. Was smooth tbh.
In the end u can tak every ship that u want, its just about how many supports u got, when u get in there with four ravens and/or somethign else with drone bay just load up some of the shield drones and everyone a large shield transporter/remote armor rep. Its not that hard just as long as u get enough ppl boosting something u can easily tank a plex out. And when the drones are just not enough just let everyone run one cycle of the remote shield thing and ud be cool

Interceptors don't take damage, thus they would work well I guess. You'd have to try without MWD though because deadspace doesn't let you MWD. If an inty with an AB is fast enough, then it would probably work out perfectly.
By that, the definition of tanking would probably be "Being able to take less damage than the maximum damage you can sustain permanently", in the case of interceptors the damage being 0.

Several plexes including the Angel 10/10 one have final stages which do a very large alpha strike on the first ship to come in, so there's a high risk of losing the interceptor there.
High resist command ships with rep drones on them are best.

there are 3 types of tank
shild tanking = most popular armour tanking =less popular speed tanking = only popular with frigates and some minmatar ships

Put a maelstrom with 6 X large boosters and enough ships cap transfering to it..... done. Not even god can break that.
If brute force doesn't solve your problem.. then you are not using enough!! |

I'd go with a vulture, 2x large extenders and 4x rat specific hardeners, full PDU's in lows, and one or two support cruisers to transfer shield to it. Or just go in a gang of battleships and have everyone fit 2 shield transfers.
