As manufacturing corps, we can build stuff at the POSes that we have no way to haul.
This seems like a pretty glaring oversight to me. Am I supposed to train up every BS so that I can get them to station for sale?
It seems like the POSes and modules just can't get any love, despite the fact that thousands of pilots live in them and deal with them every day....

Actually I know a corp that did that in the early days. All corp members trained almost all ships just so they could transport them to 0.0 alliances. Oh, and its not a bad thing. Its actually really cool to be able to pick the flavor of the month ~~~~~~~~~ Caldari. It's so easy a Minmatar could do it. |

I realize that you *can* Train them all up, but man you shouldn't have to.
We have giant ships for industrial characters to haul things in, why not allow them to be used at POSes?
You'd have a lot more freighters in use in 0.0, and a lot more fleets put together to escort them, all things that the CCP folks have expressed interest in promoting....
So how 'bout it?

So, what're the odds of a dev or ISD actually answering this question?

AFAIK, There's both plans for something like this, and an entry in the database for it. It's comming, just need to wait a little while more ---------- It's great being minmatar, ain't it |

Well, it's just another example of something that's been broken since they launched it, and it greatly inconveniences the veteran players who live in 0.0, but the devs just don't care enough to fix it, instead they release new feature after new feature.
Seriously, how many new features have been introduced since this broken one? Hundreds?

Well, at least Freighters can Drop stuff off at pos's now. That has helped a whole hell of alot with fueling.

Freighters were never intended to be able to load / unload at a POS so it's not broken.
Since the introduction of Freight Containers, you can now unload at a POS though. There might be plans in future to be able to put stuff into the freight containers aswell but nothing has been decided yet. _____________________________ ~Jiekon ~CCP QA Known Issues The LogServer Bug Reporting Guides for new Revelations Features

Ok so can you explain why you're directly contradicting what another Dev said on the issue?
Let me go find it.

I never contradicted Oveur at all. He clearly said that at this point in time, Freighters were not intended to be used to load/ unload at starbases. _____________________________ ~Jiekon ~CCP QA Known Issues The LogServer Bug Reporting Guides for new Revelations Features

at current they no doubt want to make it a complete hassle for players to use carriers and dreads to move Mothership and Titan components to the starbases. Why? I dunno because CCP has a cruel side? perhaps.
If they allow freighters to access POS, all it will do is make it easier for people to make the larger capitals ships. is this a bad thing? maybe, be a pain in the arse to have a ton of titans around because the alliance could build 5 of them quickly due to being able to transport all the materials to thier POS via a freighter.
