I have recently had at least 2 occasions when a Ship owned by my 2nd Account has not warped out and disappeared, when I have logged from eve. It just sits there helpless for around 10 minutes before finally warping away.
I have checked that the ship is still physically present by accessing the corporate hanger and taking an item and putting it in my cargo hold.
I first noticed this when simply refitting a cyno ship. All I did was to log on refit and log off so I was most certainly not under any aggression timer.
Just wondered if any one else has had this happen or suspected it ?
I personally have suspected it for a while, as sometimes when logging on a short time after previously logging off, my ship jut appeared straight in space, with no warpback happening.
A very scary thought when you are on 0.0 space just hoping you ship logged OK.
I think therefore I am.... I'm pink therefore I'm spam. |

I think it did and I've found myself I an empire station, pod killed :(. I had no aggression timer.
I'm not sure what happened...
Should the ship instantly warp out in the direction where it's aligned when u log off?

If you are not under any aggression timers, your ship should initiate an emergency warp out as soon as you log. In effect depending on the ship type and your skills affecting the ships agility it should take from around 5-30 seconds before your ship warps away and disappears.
If this does not happen then you are a sitting duck. I think therefore I am.... I'm pink therefore I'm spam. |

Technically, as soon as you log, the ship should pick a random spot 100.000km from your current location, warp there (so, not always aligned), and dissappear. If you have an aggro timer, it will stay at that location for up to 15 minutes.

Some ppl get confused and don't realise that someon simply locking u and for example webbing u and just that activates ur pvp timer and u stay in space for 15 mins but if u didn't have any player vs player interaction at all then that is indeed a bug.
there is an exploit/bug going about where someone can make a player get a pvp timer even after they log off. i have reported this and hopefully it'll be getting sorted.
also there are several things that can activate ur timer sometimes that are bugs such as a cloaking device. log off while cloaked and u sometimes seem to stay in space for the 15mins as if u were aggressed. strange

Two months ago (pre-Kali) i was ratting in my raven in 0.0 and a hostile gang entered the system . One interceptor warps into my belt targeting me from 46km. I hit ctrl+q as soon as i can. I save my raven which takes a lot of time to align...
4 days ago i enter a system and see 4 hostiles at the gate. I'm still cloaked from the jump and i hit ctrl+q. I get my harpy and my pod destroyed.
How did it save a raven and it destroyed a harpy? I'm not sure...

A couple of times when I have logged off my carrier at a POS, something has gotten in the way of the warp out, bumping the carrier and making it unable to warp out, it eventually just vanishes but takes a while to do so. -----

Please share :p
That should be a feature tbh. The least CCP can do is close an eye to the counterplsoit as well if they dont have the balls to go after loggers or do something about them.

On at least on occaision all I have done is to logg my Carrier in, have my 2nd Characters ship warp to me, change a module, then log.
So I am prettysure theres no way I could have been under an aggression timer.
Also when monitoring the carrier I made sure that my 2nd ship was a decent distance away so that I was not stopping the carrier from alligning.
I have contacted the GMs and I have filed a bug report. But confidence is low about anything being resolved.

Maube the usage of the hanagr counts as aggression timer because its intereaciton between two players ?
Tbh, it should, it should just be made clear that it does.

You don't need to be CCP or heaven related to realise that logoffski is lame.
00:00 > Hostile gang enters system 00:10 > They start scanning for you 00:30 > They pin you down, inty enters warp 00:40 > interceptor drops out of warp
You had 40s (and well over a minute in a large system) to save your ship by warping to a safe but you didn't? You fail eve.

Its pathetic ppl like this that is killing this game. Come on CCP do something about this kind of garbage.
I have no issues with the emergancy warp. Leave it as it currently is to protect against drops at a gate and getting killed by npc's. Just make them stay in game for 15 minutes regardless of aggression or not. That one change would be fair to both sides of the coin.

The game is as it is. I use what is usable to my own advantage. Sometimes **** happens, it's no big deal, but i want to know why.
Anyone has any further useful info?

What about when somebody logs out in a POS bubble? The ship would warp out of the bubble and be defenseless. People in 0.0 would not be able to log out without a station in system.

Valid Point. Personally, I would like to see anyone inside the bubble not warp at all. Just like a big dictor bubble. Ship just sits there and disappears after 15 minutes.
As far as 0.0 space goes. Most of it is empty anyway.
However, Im sure ppl can come and play "What if" scenerios all day long. The bottom line is there is a huge problem in the game that is getting worse by the day.
The loggers are using a game mechanic in an unintended way. This has been going on for a long time. The very reason there is a aggro timer of 15 minutes is that CCP was trying to stop it. However, they only went half way. By only making it an aggro timer they just shifted the problem to the front end, before lock.

I got odd things happen to me only a few days ago. I was sitting outside a station in a Tempest doing nothing, suddenly "connection lost", and the client crashes to the loadup screen. Im then unable to login for 1-2 minutes, at this point i get told that "hostile gang in xy". Ok i wont bother logging in only to warp back to the station outside dockingrange and get ganked. So i stop trying to login as i hear the hostile gang is coming to my system (3-4 minutes has passed now since i crashed). Another minute passes and somebody says "they are shooting on dabster".
Wtf? Apparently my ship was still where it was when i crashed, it hadnt emergencywarped and it hadnt disappeared (i had no timer). My ship pops and then my pod too that doesnt warp off either.
5 minutes later i finally get to login, go Eve! ___________________________ Brutors Rule! My Eve-vids; Click. |

I know of this bug, and yes it is reproduceable and easily exploited by anyone. It needs to be fixed.
