Heya folks. I'm looking for some uber setups for running missions to get myself a CNR. Currently I am running 6 x Arby Cruise Launchers
2 hardners invul II Sensor booster Shield boost amp Lg Shield boost II
2 BCS II's WCS 2 PDU II's
My rof is 8.5s, but i am looking to get that down by 1-2s if I can. Also, any input on a better shield tank would be appreciated. I am looking to get a Gist B booster once I can afford one :P
I can use Cruise Launcher II's, but when i compared them with the Arbies, they seemed to come up short on the stats.. they had same rof, but used less cpu and power ??? , but they were half the cost :P
Anyway i would appreciate as much help as possible on your mission whoring setups. --- anyone else use a WCS in the low ?

Edited by: Asmodi Mhul on 19/01/2007 14:44:38 My mission set up is as follows...followed by my setup question Raven Highs 6 Arby cruises 2 Large ES500 NOS's
Mids 1 TII Large SB Here's where I'm needing help
Lows 2 PDS I's (named but the name escapes me) 2 BCU I's 1 Jamming preventer thingie Drones 4 Hammerhead I's for friggies
I've been away from EVE for about 8 months or so so. I used to mount a WCS down there until I came back and wondered WTF it was taking forever to lock and my targeting range was crap. Thanks to a corpmate for telling me WCS's had been nerfed. So now for my question. I usually mount 3-4 TII active hardners in mids along with the TII Large SB. But I'm trying to figure out the last slot, I have a Cap recharger II and a SB amp. Which is better? 20% cap recharge boost or 30% Shield boost? I can mount TII's in all my mids except the SBA. I'll be working towards TII BCU's and PDS's very soon...and saving for the Gisti XL SB as well. This setup rocks lvl 3's and I've just started back trying to solo lvl 4's...the easier ones. What can I do here to start soloing the harder 4's? I also run an alt in an Apoc set up for looting but am working on having it be a good shield boost/cap boost support ship as well.

Well, my tank that I never have a problem with is 4x Tech II hardeners, rat specific!! 1 Gist B X-large and a cap recharger. (CPU issues to fit a decent Boost Amp) Lows I run 3x BCU IIs and 1x Damage control (it is a GREAT emergency tool with 12k structure on my CNR) 1x PDS II for PG fitting.
Drones, a buddy of mine running extensive tests in 0.0 swear that Tech II hobbies are as good as Tech II Hammerheads. Or the difference is so tiny that it is not noticeable. As he is much closer to being a Carrier pilot than me, I'll happily retire my 2M hammers for the much cheaper Hobbits. For rig slots you can either slap on 2x Cap recharger and fit a sensor booster/amp or whatever your wallet can afford.
Safe flying!

There are a lot of threads on fitting ravens and CNRs already, so it would be worthwhile reading through some of those to get a lot more ideas.
To your specific set-up listed here: 1. I highly recommend not using the CNR and instead, use the ISK (or isk from sale of CNR) to get yourself a good Gist XL booster. A Gist B,A,X XL booster on a normal raven is way better than a CNR with a non-gist booster (t2 or otherwise). 2. Cap Rigs: with 3 cap rigs, you should be able to perma-run a Gist XL booster. It makes for a pretty sweet tank and a nice security blanket in case of node crash or connection loss. 3. Don't use WCS. Fit 2 PDU and 2 BCU. For that last low slot, fit either another BCU, another PDU, or a Damage Control unit... whichever you like. 4. Mids: your mids look good. I'd use the sensor booster only as a "bonus" if you don't need the slot. Other popular options for that sensor slot is another hardener, cap recharger, or cap booster. If you don't have cap rigs and a Gist booster, I HIGHLY recommend a cap booster with 800 charges. It's a very good option for solo mission runners without a perma-running tank. __________

thanks for your replies. I only run the sensor booster b/c of the wcs, b/c there are a few rats that do try to warp jam you, tho increased damage and a better tank would def go farther i think.
awesome help guys
