Hey all,
I have two questions regarding the in-game notepad:
1) are the notes stored locally somewhere? It'd be awesome if I could still keep working (I'm a writer) while playing EVE, and when I exit, I can just import the files into my normal workflow.
2) can I pin the notepad to the Neocom? I can't seem to figure out how to it.
Thanks! |

1) Not sure. I wouldn't keep anything too important in there though, stuff happens.
2) Yep. Go through the E menu and drag the icon for notepad to the bar on the left

The great thing about the notepad is it is stored by CCP. So your computer dies, you log onto eve from another computer your notes are still available. Same with anything you enter under character info tab.
Browser bookmarks, overview settings, stored locally only. You have to reset them with every computer.
My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

I hijack this with an additional question.
When I use the Cursor arrow keys in notpad or in other PopupWindows where text is to provide, the focus goes always out of the window. Only if I press ALT key additional with Cursor keys these keys work like expected.
Is this normal behavior or just a setting in the games preferences, I didn't find until now? |

Yes it is local. You can export your setting and save them however.

The only thing you should ever use the notepad for is to contain "Good fight." and "Go choke on a fat one." in Russian for copy/paste purposes, as those are the only two things you will ever need to communicate with Russians.
It's too horrendously unreliable for anything else in my experience. I used to try and put stuff in there, only to find my entire notepad totally empty the next time I opened it. I don't know how well it works these days, but I would try not to rely on it for anything even remotely important. |
