Some older ones that I found hilarious at the time:
CODA (coalition of Dead alliances. I beleive credited to Dianabolic)
IRONA SS (Imperial Republic Of the North And Some South - a joke in VNTR corpchat initially or so I'im told)
PANSI (PA and NBSI. Obviously the B was inconvenient - credit this one to Persphanie)
Hobbits vs Bobbits was fairly chuckleworthy as well.

The really funny thing about CODA was that after the war, all the (former, since most of the alliances, such as SA and Huzzah, no longer exist) members of CODA started using the acronym too
