'Great' job guys!!! HOW BLOODY HARD IS IT TO KEEP THE BLOODY WINDOWS WHERE I LEFT THEM????
How about a nice goal for the next expansion: FIX the ****** UI code so it stops getting borked every friggin patch? How about that? |

Shouldn't be needed in any sane interface system... then again... this is EVE - sanity has nothing to do with it.

So, how about mentioning in the patch notes that interface settings are now stored separately per char not per account like before the patch? That would be a useful information. Also, since you did it, how about an option to import automatically from one char to the others so we don't have to: a) Redo everything by hand b) Mess with the settings files by hand.
On a plus note: Nice to see the windows have once again the pin option. May I suggest however to have 2 options: 'pin' and 'make transparent' that work independently? |

For Vista/7 users with multiple accounts who wish to replicate the window placements to all their chars: Enter game on one char and setup the windows the way you like.
Exit game
Go to: C:\Users\{Your user name}\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\f_games_eve_tranquility\settings\
Find the core_char_{id}.dat file corresponding to the character you just modified the settings for (usually it should be the file having the most Date modified field)
Copy that file and rename it overwriting the other existing core_char_ files
Be happy
Of course, it would have been extremely nice if CCP gave as a choice like this from inside the game, but if I want ease of use I should probably choose another MMO. |

The fact that the chat windows don't jump to my mouse anymore is hands down one of the greatest things I've heard in ages.
Bold for the important parts. a) if Eve would have UI mods and I would have to redo those, yeah, I would be OK with that. However, the BASE UI is resetting every god damned patch. I don't think that happens in any other MMO out there. b) chat windows staying where it's supposed to... hmm... MARVELOUS... but why the **** was it moving in the first place? I don't think that happens in any other MMO out there.

That's why you have QA departments usually. It's not like only a couple of people were affected. |
