Na, you gotta wait until people start leaving, Jita doesn't work well with over 450 people in it.

Have you tried using a second character to make a petition?
It can be labeled under the stuck category, and tell them your other character needs a bump out of jita so you can login.

I wouldn't do that, anyone who's input a real petition will understand how important it is for CCP not to have clutter in the system. It already takes about a month just to get any kind of reimbursement!
Generally, if you keep trying you can get out, just takes patience.

It's ok ill wait, I have another account so Im not totally desperate  . Its just first time its happened to me was more curious than anything else, but I would like me toon back asap

I don't work at CCP, but I bet they have a department of GM's who's main job is sorting through the reimbursement que. Since it's probably high profile and uses a lot of different tools to research the condition of the losses.
Regular GM's get to do the easy stuff like moving stuck characters, so you probably wouldn't affect some poor person who's been waiting weeks to get an answer to their reimbursement ticket.
I don't work at CCP though so it's only a guess!

Having worked in the voluntary Support group of another MMORPG, it's usually the same pool of GM's. However, the impact of stuck petitions on reimbursements should still be negligeble because it is a much easier to resolve issue. On one hand you have a simple see for yourself check (log in as the player and see if that is possible, or if you appear someplace you could not possibly get out of), while on the other you have meticulous plowing trough item transaction logs to track each item claimed lost and make sure it was legitimately lost to a reimbursable bug and not traded to another player for example. Simply put, reimbursements are far more time consuming and a GM could easily do dozens of stuck petitions in the time he'd need to investigate a single reimbursement.
As for legitimacy, not being able to play is just as legitimate a ground for petitioning as is losing your stuff to a bug. If anything it is More legitimate because in the case of a pending reimbursement at least you can still play the game as if you lost your stuff to a gank. When stuck you can do nothing until the issue is resolved. |

Many times I have been in Jita where there were over 600 in local and I could leave and enter Jita as much I wanted. Maybe because I was lucky.
I will never log off in Jita though, no no no

Most the time in jita you arent stuck, it just takes an age to log in.
It sometimes helps with logging in an alt on the same account and trying again with the "stuck" one.
If you wait it will time out after a while (10+ mins) and give you the message of the server failing to respond.
these days it is very rare to get stuck, most the time you will log in eventually, or logging an alt in then trying again will clear the problem..

Definitely petition as Stuck. Those are answered rather quickly. One time I was stuck and got my petition answered almost as soon as I'd finished closing the windows after filing!
