As stated in the topic, after looking at the stickied guides in this forum, I haven't found how profitable working on lvl3 and lvl4 combat missions can be. I'd really like to know how much a person can make on average ( I know this can vary a lot from mission to mission ) on one of these missions and how long each of them takes (again, on average). Getting standings in something like Amarr Navy up to level 4 agents takes a considerable amount of time so I'd like to make sure that the end result is worth it.
Thanks!

Well the fact that you made 100 mil that way doesn't really say how quick that was. You can make 100 mil mining veldspar in 1.0 but that's going to take forever.

Edited by: Drone Whisperer on 23/01/2007 07:34:35 For level 3's on average, expect to make a couple million in Mission Pay + Bonuses + Bounties, more for loot, ALOT more if you salvage.
Now, for the harder lvl 3's (ANY Extraveganza, Blockade) at leat 7 million in Bounties + Mission pay (NOT counting loot/salvage). This of course will vary somewhat depending what your negotiations skill is at, but I am confident that with NO negotiations training the above is about par.
For level 4's, take what I posted above for level 3's and multiply it....ALOT.
As for how long? Well that will depend entirely on well your ship is kitted.

Well - I loot and salvage - be aware that missioning is about 4 times faster if you just burn through for standing. Having said that a l4 mission takes me between 1 1/2 and 3 hours and nets an average of 5 mil isk. There is a LOT of variation - 'Duo of Death' takes 10 mins and provides 3 mil (mostly bounty) whereas Blockade takes 3 hours and provides about 20 mil.

Edited by: J Valkor on 23/01/2007 08:19:24 My favorite level 4 mission is "Stop the Thief". 6 minutes for 1.5 million reward and 4.5k LP. Plus 500k in bounties.
For pure money I'd say World's Collide is the most profitable since you can essentially kill stuff none stop for an hour and a half. Maybe 20-25 million total from bounties.
A thousand LP turns into between 1-1.5 million in rewards depending on how long you wait.
None of this includes salvaging, which if they are Blood Raiders, is significant.

I run two accounts, one in a raven to do the killing and another in a destroyer to do the looting and salvaging. I limit my online time to roughly an 1 hour maybe 2 at most a day. By running one L4 mission a night, again varying times here, it takes me about 5 or 6 days to make 100 million isk. That includes selling all the loot, melting down and selling the minerals or the loot that doesn't have buy orders and selling off the salvaging pieces. I am sure I could make more, but I am not trapping myself into the rat race of getting as much as isk as possible, just enough to fund my PvP alt on the weekends.
However, if you want the best profits per say as fast as possible just burn through L3's with a drake, don't loot and go for the storyline missions. I prefer the drake over the raven for L3's because the drake kills frigs alot faster than the raven. If you focused on running L3's for speed I am sure you could make double what I am running just 1 L4 a night.
