Does anybody has an idea when the DirectX 10 client for the EVE Online could be released ?
As far i know DX10 client was planned to be released in 2007, even some DX10 screenshots were released in december/2006.
The VISTA, operating system able to run DX10, will be on sale 31.1.2007 and DX10 capable graphics cards are on market for about a month allready.

Per recent Oveur's reply the dx10 engine seems to be slated for end of 2007. Some unspecified optimizations to current engine are to be shipped earlier, with Revelations 2 patch.

I have to correct you in some things. First, there have never been any screenshots of Directx 10 eve client. What you have seen during the fanfest and after is from the new directx 9 engine. For those that don't know, current eve client runs on modified directx 7 engine.
The new directx 9 client will be released sometimes around Revelations 2 release. It will bring new models and textures for all the ships, stations etc.
The Directx 10 client will most probably be released towards the end of 2007, as you need Windows Vista and Directx 10 hardware for it and it wont be widespread enough until later this year or even next year.
So once again, the cool videos and screenshots oyu saw are NOT directx 10, but directx 9 pixel shaders and it should be coming soon(tm).

thanks for the info.
the new screenshots were labeled as DX10 over the internet and i was confused by that.
any idea when Revelations 2 could be released ?
