I'm trying to get to a Standing with a corp of 5.00, and right now, i can either do a level 2 Q10 agent, or a Level 3 Q-19 agent... which agent would give me the standing faster? What about in general? would going to a higher level agent always give you more standing increase per mission?
Thanks :) Repopulate Low Security!

As I understand it the lowest-quality L3 agent is still better than the highest-quality L2 agent (same principle applies to other levels - the next higher level is always better)
Within a given level, I don't know if quality has any effect on the amount of standing increase, I think it just affects loyalty points and payouts, but I'm not positive, never really paid attention before but I'm curious now that I think about it....

You always want the highest lvl and the highest quality agent. Unless things have changed since I was a hardcore runner a couple of patches ago, you should move up in Level as soon as you can. Then move up in Quality as they open up, but not until after you've completed an IM for the current agent.

Why have there been so many of these questions lately? I keep seeing people asking various versions of "Level 3 q-19 or Level 2 q20, which is better?". If they did a search they'd find the info out very quickly... or if they went a few pages back on the forums. I've seen about 3-4 of these a day on the various forums... it's amazing.

As amazing as the pretty obvious placed search button in this forum, right?

Moving to a higher quality agent (but same level) is not always better. Check the effective quality of both agents. If you have run missions for an agent your effective quality will increase and you might have a better EQ with your old agent.
It also depends on how long you plan to use the agent. If you are close to get to a new level it might not be worth switching but if you have many more missions to run it might be better to switch to the better quality agent as well.
Other factors to consider is: are there any other agents you can use for the same corp in the system (useful if you have to decline missions) or if there is a storyline agent for the corp you are running missions for in system (you will most certainly get storyline missions for that agent whcih gives you a boost to your corp standing).

Edited by: Sollz on 24/01/2007 05:34:03 1. one way to get the faction standing up quickly is doing lvl 2 missions, and you have to do 16 missions before you can get an "Important storyline" mission this is where you get faction standing reward. 2. another way to get faction standing up quickly is to do empire cosmo missions not the 0.0 cosmo mission. All multistage empire cosmo missions is an event storyline mission where the last stage is an important storyline mission <-------- BINGO. Each agent only offer one mission, and when you finish the mission, you are done with that agent. I did 3 caldari cosmo lvl 2 and get some unseed bpcs with around .5 faction standing.

It's really more complicated than that. I have a place where I can do 4 lev 4 courier missions, so that rocks for corp standing (I can't run lev 4 combat). For another corp I can rip through lev 2 combat missions 4x faster than lev3, so I stayed with lev 2 until I could get the lev 4 courier missions. I also made sure the was another agent nearby so I could decline a mission, then have something to do if he offered me another 6000m3 within 4 hours. remember, it is essentially standing / hr.
And the reason there are so many of these is you can't search the flippin forums!
