I hope everyone has moved into remote space for tomorrows 'event'...
I really have zero idea wether to have confidence in the servers handling the load... but I must say I'm sceptical...
I think there's about an 60% chance of 10,000 people actually trying to log in at the same time... and a 20% chance of the servers dealing with it.
If I had to guess, I'd say we get to about 7,500 people before reboot...
and for those that think I'm bashing the game... I very much hope that I'm wrong...

wrong crash the whole game, now, a few key highway systems is a different matter

I think you are overestimating the response to this "event."
I'll be surprised if it hits 7k simultaneous users, and if it does...a good majority will be afk sitting in station, so I wouldn't expect a server meltdown.

As long as Yulai and a few other of the key systems manage to hold together (be it by increasing the node strength or managing to Macgyver some sort of super node out of a straw,a rubber band and some tin foil) then things should be fine if we do hit 10k.

Im guessing its because Yulai has a ton of the other highway systems all tied into it. Its kinda like the very frail and weak backbone of the highway system. Thats why when it goes down all hell seems to break loose.
Thats my guess atleast.

The chances are small. Prolly we will have reboots, and stuck problems in the highways.

Looks like a slim chance of the servers crashing....
at this rate we'll be lucky to break 6k... I guess I was right...
