I haven't watched more than a few hours of TV in the past five years.
TV is a complete and utter waste of money. The rise of 24/7 news stations has made almost all news coverage on TV completely worthless. This page has some good info on why this is so.
99% of content on TV is an utter waste of space. And if I want some of the 1%, I can torrent it.
There is no point to television, a medium which solely involves watching and is designed to avoid the viewer having to think, when there is a vast internet interconnecting the globe and holding more information that one could possibly imagine.

Heard of an S-Video cable? You can watch downloaded videos on your TV for about 3 dollars

what's wrong with the tv?
Not much except the low resolution, really. Its perfectly fine for viewing downloaded videos and rented movies
