It occurred to me recently that there is a real space-traffic problem in the 0.7 sec. system near where I live. In the interest of cleaning up my space-neighbourhood and creating a safe and distraction-free environment for my space-kids, I tried suicide-ganking a Retriever using a Coercer fitted with 8 Medium Pulse Lasers, with Multi crystals, and 2 Heat Sink Is. Total cost for this ship is about 1.2 mil, and if I managed to get a single Strip Miner out of the deal I would be ahead.
Only problem is that Concord ruined my space-day about 5 seconds too early; I had the Retriever down to about 1/3 hull before my ship popped.
So my question is this: what modifications can I make to my Suicide Coercer setup to get that last little bit of hull on the Retriever and earn the profits I so obviously deserve for my efforts?
Any help would be mucho appreciado

Use blasters and fit as many dmg mods as you can cram.

How would the thrasher fare in a similar setup, given it's the only destroyer with a damage bonus? --- Hey hey let's go kenka suru! Taisetsuna mono protect my balls! Boku ga warui so lets fighting! LET'S FIGHTING LOVE!!! |

I don't know why but it's damage seems to be mediocre at best. ------ "Scammers, pirates and ore thieves, the only thing that stands between us, and World of Warcraft.

280mm thrasher with gyros will probably take a barge into structure in the first volley.

Is there a stacking penalty on heat sinks? How many can I fit before it becomes pointless?
Also, if I try this in a 0.5 system instead of a 0.7 system, will the Concord response time be slower?

You may be right I only checked the autocannons and even those only briefly I'm not into minmatar stuff

Yes there is a penalty but every little bit helps. In my test the base DPS without any Heat Sinks was 107. With 1 Heat Sink 123,8 (+16,8) With 2 Heat Sink 140,4 (+16,6) With 3 Heat Sink 152,6 (+12,2) With 4 Heat Sink 158,9 (+6,3)
Note that all numbers are from Quickfit so they may be slightly inaccurate
CONCORD response should be slower in a .5 system but there is no exact formula to tell how fast they will come as far as I know ------ "Scammers, pirates and ore thieves, the only thing that stands between us, and World of Warcraft.

I think the best woman for the job is a blaster catalyst with 1 drone of your choice
i think you can make a trial account with hybrids at 5, spend a few hours to get destroyers at lvl 1 and eng. at 4 and combat drone op. at 3
fit: 6 limited light neutron blasters (antimatter) 2 limited light ion blasters (antimatter)
3 magnetic fild stab. in lows
1 drone (warrior)
using quickfit you get 13sec. at best to destroy a no tank retriever
i'll have to try this one!!!
how much time to concord engage in 0.5 ?
I like my steaks bloody as hell |
