So a friend and I were on our way to happily gank a hulk in .5 system. We landed, overheated and let the led fly (or energy or whatever the hybrids use) The bugger was tanked, as tanked as a hulk can be, with shield boosts, found that out later when the booster was sitting on undock. Anyway, he was going down. Next thing that happened was part legand, part frustraiting what? as concord put their 2 cents in. He was off grid, gone POOF!
What happened was there was an orca on field. He swapped to another hulk from the orca and kept mining like a boss, as we were subject to our own demise.
So the question, is it within rules/exploit/oversight to allow someone with a timer, locked, scramed to be able to swap ships like that?

My understanding is, he did not agro and was not subject to any cooldowns and was able to take any action available to anyone in space at any time. My further understanding is that you are bad and you should feel bad. |

Beautiful... Next time lock up the jettisoned second hulk so he can't board it, then pop his pod and steal the hulk.

As far as I know... it is not an exploit. As long as the Hulk pilot did not aggress anyone, he can swap ships at will.
Next time... bump the ship out of range of the Orca next time!
(NOTE: a pilot needs to be within 5000m of the Orca to swap ships)
