Does anyone have some ok suggestions here? I operate solo mostly and im fiddling around with several idea's.
Id like to hear from experienced Myrm pirates what they prefer to use. A global idea will be ok, even though exact setup layouts will be very much respected and appreciated. -----------------------------------

I pirate in a Myrm, and the only thing I fear are passive shield setups or a faster locking damp ship.
Here's what I use: 6x nos ab, scram, 3x damps 2x mar, 3x hardeners, damage control 5x ogres or berzerkers
All that nos might be frowned upon, but it works. Use an elliptical orbit and scoop drones every other pass.

medium + light drones. It's great being Amarr, aint it? |

All well and nice having a fat ass plate on there but surely the 5860hp in armour is good enough ? not to mention how slow it'd make you I just don't like the idea , of course you'd take a bit of a beating but meh - my opinion probably works very well

Not managed to use the new BC's but looking at one soon , with drones alone the Myr would do more damage than my Domi a possible setup.....
6 x Heavy Electron II 1 x 10mn MWD II 1 x Webber 1 x 20km/24km Scrambler 1 x Cap Booster 1 x Sensor Damp II 2 x MAR II 3 x Hardeners 1 x Damage Cont.
You can swap the lows how you want but with the cap booster I'd always have a minimum of 2 reps , then whatever EANM's , Mag stabs to pump up the damage , ( nano's ?)

Hows this?
H: 4x Anode Ion Particle Blaster I 2x Medium NOS
M: 1x Named AB 1x Named 20km Scramber 1x Named Webber 1x Sensor Booster I 1x Medium Cap Booster I
L: 1x MAR I 1x SAR I 3x Hardener (Kin/Therm/Exp) 1x DC I
It should work well Since my SP isnt sky high I dont have much T2, plus it is also a little expensive for a sort of "disposable" ship.
Let me know.

1x 10mn MWD 1x web 1x scram 1x medium electrochem booster 1x sensor booster II
2x MAR II 1x kinetic hardener II 1x explosive hardener II 1x thermal hardener II 1x damage control II
5x hammerhead II 5x valkyrie II 5x warrior II
Doesn't take all that long to train for and the support skills it gives will be indispensible. Just use best named until you can fit something along those lines. ------------------------ Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds. -Albert Einstein |

I use:
3x Med Nos II 3x Heavy Ion Blaster IIs
10mn AB II Web 20km Scram Tracking Disruptor Sensor Booster
2x MAR II Kin, Explo, Therm Hardener IIs DCU II
Personally I prefer using 5 Valk IIs, 5 Hammerhead IIs and 5 Warrior IIs in my drone bay. This is because although the DPS is less, anyone with sense will just pop your heavies, taking down your DPS a lot each time. OFC you can just scoop and redeploy your drones but considering how slow Ogres are, you may not get them back in time if they're further away.

4x AC 2x Medium Nos
Mid: MWD Scram Injector w/800 or another Damp Damp Web
Low: 1x MAR II 1x DCU 2x EANM II 1x 1600 MM plate 1x Explosive Active.
Gives very good resists yes.
5x Ogre II. No damage boost to guns, so capless guns better me thinks. Use AC to pop enemy drone, or just add small DPS. Maybe fit cap injector to keep MAR running. Or more nos if you're a lamer.
Tactics: Ram ship into enemies face. if they lock your heavy drones, pull them back in. then re-launch them. Damp make it take forever for them to lock drones. You big newb if you lose drone to enemy fire. --------------- PvP in EvE is not consentual.

1 x Y-T8/T2 MWD 1 x 20k scram 1 x X5 or better web 1 x sensor booster 1 x medium electrochemical cap booster
2 x T2 med reppers 3 x active T2 hardeners (exp, kin, therm) 1 x Damage control II
4 heavies and 5 lights in the bay. If you don't have T2 hardeners, a tracking disruptor II will fit in place of the sensor booster, hardeners ate up all my cpu so I couldn't fit anything but a sensor booster

Very constructive posting here, especially when I see reasoning behind certain fitted modules. I was considering dropping one repper to increase my passive tank with either a plate or EANM. I'll toy a bit and see what works well.
Thanks people -----------------------------------

Why do so many favor 6 Nos over a few turrets with NOS? I use 2, maybe three soon and I never even touched my cap injector once. Sure, its a good tactic to drain a person's cap dry, but it also prolongs an encounter - sometimes needlessly longer. It also means assistance can drop in on you easier and i'd like to kill my targets as fast as virtually possible, preventing or at least minimizing that chance as much as i can.
Preference I suppose...

4x T2 S beams 2x T2 med nos
Y-T mwd T2 damp web 20km'er electrochem with 800 charges
2xT2 MAR 2xT2 EANM DCU 800mm plate
explosive med and light drones. why? cheaper and efective. also a swarm of T2 warriors in a standart, non i-stabbed inty (still a common sight) = dead inty. -------

I was curious, since drones really aren't my thing at the moment, how effective would a Myrm be at solo gate camping if it used 5 sentry drones set up from 50-70 km away from the gate while it, itself, tackled things that came through?

Sentry drones are great for gate camping. Try it, though I'm not sure how long you'll be able to tank the gate sentries solo. I haven't tried gate camping since before [rev].
