Two days ago Placi Reborn recieved an EVE-Mail from Sundari Idama, a member of the "Euphoric Gaze" [GAZE] corporation, requesting assistance in escorting a convoy from Aulbres to Intaki.
A new drug called Rise has recently been circulating among the planetbound people in Placid Region it has been the GAZE that has been supplying it.
Sundari explained that they could not keep up with demand and was therefore going to move their production to the Intaki system where the demand is greatest.
"Sundari Idama; I have created not a drug, but a gift, for our people, known as Rise. When one uses Rise, they are given a feeling of euphoria, and it causes a person to relive their pleasures of the past."
After serious consideration within the Placid Reborn the descision was made, based on all the intelligence that we had gathered about Rise, that we would meet up with Sundari at Aulbres and there gather all the extra intelligence that we could before the final descision was made on how to deal with them.
Once we had established contact with Sundari Idama and her two cooperatives we were convinced that the drug called Rise was not only a harmful thing, but also that long use made you a complete slave under its influence.
Descision was made to make sure that the convoy did not reach its destination!
I escorted the convoy to the system Alperaute where Nolin Riis of Placid Reborn and Vendrin of APEX Unlimited were awaiting us.
Two Thorax class cruisers piloted by Bevarius Qolemar and Verantas Ilmaran, both GAZE members were destroyed.
The Obelisk class freigther was piloted by Sundari Idama, several attempt were made to make her abandon the ship and allow us to take a sample of this drug to the authorities for their assesment but she refused.
A cargo scan was made on the Obelisk and this was found inside;

The discovery of this made it clear that this was not something good and Sundari recieved one last chance to surrender herself, yet she refused again.
Sundari then asked some local pirates for assistance, wich showed her true nature more than anything else, and it was descided that the freighter was to be taken down.
These events shows yet again that it is necessary that something changes in the Placid Region, not only are we struggling against pirates on a daily basis, now our people are being enslaved by new drugs that reach the planets.
The Federation now needs to wake up and start to take notice about what is going on in the Placid Region.

I'd also like to add that it is a terrible misfortune for this plot to come from an Idama, individuals that all people should be able to entrust our general welfare.
Therefore, we also urge all Placid residents to be careful of Sundari Idama's future treachery...
I can't believe an Indama of all people would sink as low as Serpentis...ugh.

APEX Unlimited was proud to offer it's continued support to Placid Reborn. It is most unfortunate that many had to lose their lives in this operation due to the Idama's unwillingness to turn over the material for further investigation. For all that Rise does, it is better to live in the present then to hallucinate about the past.

The Idamas do not answer to you Vendrin. This Idama requested assistance and then like good Federalists you back stabbed her. You are not the Intaki Space Police she had no reason to answer to anyone...

i'd like to hear a public comment from the Idama herself on this matter.
Did Placid and Apex agree to guard her and then turn on their contract? It seems as much but i'd love to hear it from this Idama herself.

We did turn on the convoy and ask for surrender after we argeed that the shipment would be dangerous to the residents of Intaki. We did not agree to the job with the absolute intention of stopping it.
Upon scrambling the freighter, we demanded the pilots eject or hand over the cargo. They refused and following a brief battle, held the freighter at one third structure for upwards of ten minutes to negotiate. The Idama refused to comply and had also not told us that the cargo was even contraband. With the pirate forces begining to accumlate into the system, we had little cloice left but to destroy the ship.

I am hurt deeply by you yet again. First you take a request for assistance, and use it to destroy so much work, and now you announce your evil deeds for all to hear! All our progress, all the enlightenment that I have given, you nearly destroyed. My research has been destroyed. Those narcotics you destroyed are what I researched to make Rise as beneficial as possible. You did not wish to hear my words, you held me in space, my ship being destroyed slowly as I ran for my life to an escape pod. You attempted to steal all my work, and even stated that YOU would create Rise if YOU thought it to be ok for our people.
Our people have spoken with their demands for this gift. Your attack on me was nothing short of piracy. Perhaps one day you will be forgiven for your actions, however you have held our people back and shown yourselves to be untrustworthy to us. As our people walk in bliss and enlightenment, you will weep for your actions.

Most alarming. Sundari Idama, you should be very careful. The politics of Placid are not for the faint of heart. If I may recommend using the Intaki Union for protection (though in all honesty caution is perhaps best with them as well) and contacting the Cosmopolite of Jericho Fraction regarding your research. If you'll tell him I sent you perhaps he'll listen.

Fine work, Leth and Vendrin. It's a shame that most of the corporations normally engaged in anti-piracy work in Placid are currently beset by a coalition of seperatist terrorists, anarchists, and pirates.
