howdy ho.
After killing 3 NPC corp 0.0 sec players last night in Pure Blind, and feeling rather guilty after it . id just like to post a warning to all new players that wish to go exploring.
If u enter a system which is locked down by an alliance or even pirates, i advise contacting someone thru local.
As everyone uses alts to spy or scout (including ourselves), ALL 0.0sec NPC corp members are concidered free game.
darth is not a bad guy .
good morning.

Darth - you suffering from green space monkey fever? Podding people in NPC corps is fun. Espeically if they are in shuttles (what the heck, its happend to me).
So, enough of this crazy talk. I suggest a trip to empire space to blow up miners indiscriminently. Always works for me.

It only feels like that the 2-3 first kills! Trust me
My first kill was in Jan, and that was a gatecamping sequence, he came in his first Rax and we webbed and jammed him and my guns locked up and i couldnt stop shooting!

Edited by: darth solo on 08/12/2003 12:21:30 iv podded loads of smack talking rats, and i loved it .
But killing noobs in little ships gives me nothing.
Oh just thinking that maybe some do go exploring.
I spoke to one of the involved nOObs, he now understands about 0.0sec systems, and will do things different in the future.
i just thought maybe posting would make others more aware
Oh, i did let all who contacted me pass thru, no harm was done .
Edited due to having buckled fingers and typing like a monkey .

Hmm, and what happens if a 1.4 Sec guy from a NPC Corp - in a Vigil for instance - hits the Region to get some holiday snapshots?
KOS or does yours truely get to clarify his business first?

Oh shut up you paranoid criminals. Leave Darth alone. I used to ninja mine dark ochre in my punisher when started playing EVE. So not all players are spies. Some could be not all.
Darth just proved that he is human, unlike you with all those aggression implants disturbing your already disturbed behavoiur.
Knowing how hard is for pirate hunters to make some money I'll support Darth with some cashs as soon as I come home just in case he gets one of these blackouts again so that he has cash to pay the n00bs.

Agreed. I mined fare up in pure blind my first week i played eve. That was in my probe wich was the best ship ever :)
And yes i do explore. I know the risk and calculate to survive each time. Even my two implants (yeah now pirates know, take your toll please) dont make me stay in empire space.

I am setting them free! After I have mined an asteroid, carefully and with utmost respect shown to it, the said asteroid gets to see the galaxy as parts of all kinds of nice things! Well, some of them end up in Gallente ships, but that is a pretty small minority, really, and one shouldn't pay too much attention to exceptions, no matter how unfortunate they may be. It's the best career option for a young asteroid to become stuff, in my opinion to be quite honest. So I am merely doing them a favour really.
Besides, almost no asteroids have been hurt during my mining career, much. I did shoot a full volley at an asteroid once, ok maybe twice, but that was purely by accident. I was aiming at the baddie that was about to come and bully me, buuut it kinda didn't go as planned. But it was a one time slip only. Or two. Three times tops honest, almost. And I did apologise right away.

let's do what we like.
it's the noobs fault for not knowing what they were doing

Darth, through his actions, has highlighted that Celestial Apocalypse are not only damn good pirate hunters but we also have a compansionate and caring side.
So, next time you are on the receiving end of one of our cruise missiles remember that it wasn't personal and we're so very sorry that it blew your ship and pod into thousands of little pieces
Station camping, ship jamming, forum spamming, milk drinking, deep thinking, gooner loving, goat hugging, pirate killer............AVE IT LARGE!!!! |

Anyone whom knows me, knows i am 1 of the good guys.
Yeah, u are rite, it is a game and we shouldnt bother about virtual folks.
All im really trying to say is, if u fly to a gate and see some1 guarding it, try and communicate first, i let everyone thru that asked. Pure Blind is a war zone
If u have a sec rating of 0.1 upwards and are in a NPC corp, u will not b harmed.
It doesnt matter what folks say, this game can get personal .
we were all new players, and we all know how hard it is to start off. ganking crappy ships with 2 blasts from ma guns doesnt give me the biggest buzz

As you know, some of these guys are not noobs at all Darth. They may be pirates, its not a chance that you can take. When I was a noob I kept my nose in the dirt in cistuvaert until I could afford a thorax. So its best to block the n00b after you do it. You always get a "wtf" in local, yet somehow the pirates stay offline until your gone. Do not feel bad for them Darth. Everytime you do, think of the pirate that uses words as well as weapons to bring you down. SOB stories engineered so the criminal will not lose a thing and he can laugh at you behind your back. I have bad feelings when I shoot a small ship, however I dont pod. There was a couple of occasions that we shot someone down, after that we found out they were legit. What do you expect when you warp to a gate, stop ship, look at how many your facing. To me it is simply calling targets.
Noobs: If your gonna enter 0.0 be prepared that no one knows you, and that you could be fired upon by good or bad guys.

Darth, ever the nice guy.
Everybody who's played Eve for a decent amount of time understands the necessity of being ultra-paranoid about noob ships running around where they shouldn't be .
Having said that, I applaud you for at least having a conscience about it.
New players, be brave and explore, by all means. But if you go into occupied space, be fully ready to get blasted. If you truly are new, you really have nothing to lose...and it'll be a learning experience. It's unfortunate that players using alts as spies have forced 'rat hunters into such an ultraparanoid position, but that's the situation we find ourselves in. It's nothing personal.
