Not a bad idea...kind of like payday loans. But which prominent third party would be interested in the trivial fees earned by securing 1 - 3 billion worth of assets? |

Problem you will face is most of the old, semi old and even new investors that lurk here would offer rates of 1-3% with a 110% backed loan, for a 10% margin you are looking at partial/no collateral punt investments. |

Exactly like that idea, hence the name...

As the previous poster mentioned, you'll be finding it hard to find anyone that would not rather take a loan with less interest from others. Usually collateralized loans are not going to be 10%

I think the main difficulty is that IRL people take payday loans at usurious rates because they're desperate. (Sure, it may be a bad long-term plan, but who cares about long-term plans if you can't eat today?)
No-one in EVE needs cash that badly _and_ has material assets (which they don't use - no logbook loans [1] in EVE secured on the ship they fly) sufficient for collateral _and_ can't readily monetise those assets even though they're good enough for the third party...
What you might try is a facility where the client deposits some large chunk of collateral they'd rather not monetise (eg PLEXes) with a third party, and you charge a higher interest rate for convenience and short-term deposits - rather than coming here and proposing a bond for 5b, they can EVEmail you and get 5b quickly (of course, you may have to log on a lot). You also win when the client does default and the PLEX has inflated since they deposited it [2]. Mind you, I imagine someone already does this.
[1] a fascinating business model built on the assumption that the client will default and the car will be repossessed. [2] like a logbook loan, I would try to profit off the difference between the client's perception of their likelihood to default and the reality. |

I think you jumped the gun on that biz idea..
The direction was good, but you seem to have skipped the SWAT analysis.
