I spoke to the guy that makes the trailers recently and he mentioned that people with low spec. computers have trouble playing the revelations trailer because it is very high quality video and also highly compressed or something. I'm not sure of the exact details but ill try get him to explain it better tomorrow.
To answer your question directly: yes, other people have problems viewing the video depending on the specs of their computer. _____________________________ ~Jiekon ~CCP QA Known Issues The LogServer Bug Reporting Guides for new Revelations Features

I have converted the actual Revelations trailer into a DivX format (with little in the way of degradation of quality or size), but after checking with Wrangler on possible legal issues, I've not been allowed to share the newly encoded trailer.
There is a way to encode it into DivX (the exact same way I did), and thats via the use of the DivX converter (that simple tool), set to the highest quality available. Its easily found with the download of the DivX codec that comes from the DivX website itself.

erm... can't you just watch it on a hosted site like youtube or something? Just a thought. Although it looks by far the best from this site

Oddly, it runs really laggy on my high-spec machine, but smooth and shiny on my low-spec machine. The only real difference is that the high-spec machine uses nVidia, and the low-spec one uses ATI. Go figure. -----------------------------------------------

I doubt its browser issues. On both my PCs I use Firefox 2, the latest Winamp, all on updated Windows XP. The only actual difference is the hardware. -----------------------------------------------

Check your processes. Might have something hogging cpu time.
Awhile back I had problems with EVE running kind of chunky (warp animation would halt every 2 seconds or so, etc). Turned out to be something that came along with my D-Link wireless adapter that, according to several "what this executable" sites, wasn't necessary for it's operation. I disabled it and haven't had a prob with either EVE or the wireless adapter since.

I think jiekon means that it depends on the graphics card you have in your machine, and how well it is at handling high quality movies.

Dunno what your system specs are, but lots of HD vids can't be played well on anything less than a 6600/6800 (have no idea what the ATI equivalent would be).
Try going to the Quicktime movie trailer site and watching some of their crazy-big HD trailers. If the playback for those is also choppy, then you'll know it's definitely your system that's the problem.
