Ok im reading the patch nots and saw that ccp is nerfing ore belts. WHY i as? The Asteroid Belts in the following systems have been mined out (removed): Jita Saila Motsu Dodixie Kaunokka Aunia Aranachi Rens Oursulaert Suroken Juunigaishi Nourvukaiken (my home atm) Isenairos I dnt understand why. In the last update, we now have bigger and better comabt ship/skills/stuff. Mining is getting harder in low spc space. and ore thifs are getting very*****y. first the big plans to spot macro ice mining got rid of a tone of ice belts in empire. and now this, what have u got agenst us? Plz dnt do this.

It's to reduce traffic in the hubs. Those are all high-traffic areas, and it's bad enough that they're jammed with travelers and salesmen, miners and mission runners should be directed elsewhere.

I don't even know why people mine in Jita. All the best fields in that area are just one system over in Maurasi.

plan:
belt removal in jita = ok and some other mentioned systems to reduce traffic.
secondly
remove all bookmarks in asteroid belts and set a maximum spawn of belts in each system. eg one gets mined out a new one appears somewhere else.
thridly
the only way to find the belts are using scanners which can be based upon the infamous survey skill. (a few more skills would be needed to make it harder)
The way this would work is like exploration when using probes etc. This way it makes it much harder to go back to a belt daily and wipe it out removing all other characters chances, it also removes the need for giant secure to be in space all the time thus reducing server lag.
finally, asteroid belts used to continue out into space maybe 500km from the end of the belt you were in why not do the same so that if someone comes a hunting your ore you might be unseen. so basically you can find the belt using your scanner and it would warp you in anywhere within 1000km of the belt, just like a warp to bookmark at the moment can be up to 2.5 km out or slightly more.
what do you think??
this idea makes it harder for thieves, harder for miners to remove any mining oppurtunities for people (especially as they are removing major systems belts and surrounding systems will feel an effect) and because it gets people more interested in the space exploration side of eve which very few people do. Most people "want eve now!" which really isnt how space is at all. If you were in real space you wouldnt go back to an asteroid belt daily just to see all the rocks again you mined out.
I also think that a couple of systems in each faction area should get rare spawns eg a field of hemorphite but it would only be like 3 or 4 rocks just to give empire a bigger market but those sort of belts would require a much higher scanning strength therefore better items and better skills.

Nah, that would make mining an elite profession. You'd need infrastructure and teamwork just to cut a single asteroid, not to mention a half-million SP to get into a belt.
Mining is a newbie profession, like level 1 missions and Tech 1 industry. Those are the three core activities of EvE: Obtaining materials, turning materials into spaceships, and turning spaceships into explosions.
Everyone should be able to get a tast of them.

Its not rly a noob thing, im not a noob, iv bim mining allmost 2 years, iv set meself up as a industry player, I build and sell ships of many dif sizes. And outher stuff. And i still hold this to be a bad thing CCp is doing. Its a fair point about the amount of ppl problems in the systems, but by doing this, all is gunna ahpen is the ppl will move and the saim problem wiv come about in a new group of systems.

if you ask me belts are too easy to mine out and they appear (to me) to be far too small. (please note ive never mined out a belt and i dont have the skills to, or time)
