Making the move from a Retriever mining barge to a Covetor is a big step in a miner's career. Perhaps you might be interested in something a bit smaller? I think that a "Build A Bantam Mining Frigate" package would be perfect for you! It only comes with five units of Livestock, though, so you might have to eat some of the Militants to make up the difference.

Kaynard Stormwalker, I congratulate you on your excellent purchase. Your soon-to-be-Covetor, much like underwear that is several sizes too large to wear, is something that you will eventually grow into as your character develops and matures his industry skills. Granted, you've got a ways to go to actually fly the thing with your Mining skill at 1, but hey... you're clearly in this thing for the long haul. Especially since I suspect that you are lacking pretty much every skill needed to actually build the Covetor!
Still, you've clearly got excellent taste in what you spend your disposable income on. For this, I applaude you. I also must take this opportunity to warn you that the market system flat-out refuses to let you sell militants for some strange reason. They can only be gotten rid of via direct trade, contracts, or chucking them into space. Eventually, you'll be left staring at them in your hangar and wondering how to get rid of them.
My advice to you is to gather up all of the junk in your hangars and put together a silly contract that somehow includes the militants. This method appears to work. Or, at least, it works for me. Your mileage may vary.
Once again, my sincerest congratulations on your new purchase. May your pile of minerals, livestock, and militants bring you happiness.
