At the moment, it's definetely Sabaton. It's pure awesome.
Others include Blind Guardian (Gods), Iron Maiden, Rhapsody (Before they started sucking and making albums with 3 tracks of music and 15 of a crappy, cheesy fantasy narrative), Arch Enemy, In flames (Before they made the nu-metal abortion that is Reroute to Remain),Edguy, Freedom Call, Stratovarius, Dragonforce, Kalmah, Kamelot, and others.

Amen is good,
Coheed and cambria can suck on my chocolate salty balls (they're packed full of vitamins, they're good for you) no offense to anyone who listens to them they just get on my nerves and i've seen them mentioned a fair bit.
anyway Marilyn Manson FTW! Shocker Metal at it's finest, at least early in his career.

Just because it had to be said, Ac/Dc, it dont get much better.
Now the reason why I'm posting, is to name drop this band The Sword, who I unfortunately haven't seen mentioned yet. Their 1st full album release (called Age of Winter) has dominated my playlist for nearly a year now.
Theyre best described by listening to them. They have some decent clips on their myspace (Ugh) as well as their website. Skeptical that Im just a stupid fanboy whos lost their perception/relation to reality? Yeah, I am, so go take a listen anyways.
