Sadly I have just cancelled my account. This is due purely to the fact that I cannot find the time to put into playing EVE that I believe I need to in order to fully appreciate this wonderful game. Even if I just stop publishing the Gallente Enquirer and concentrate on exploring etc. I still don’t think I can find the necessary time. Family life and (unfortunately) work take up most of my time and when I do find the time to play games I tend to need a quick-fix game such as CS or BF1942. I think EVE is by far the best game I have played (second only to Terra:Battle for the Outlands – possibly) and I love the community that is building up. I hope that game goes from strength to strength and maybe I will be able to re-join in the not too distant future.
I would like to send thanks to everyone that has helped with the Gallente Enquirer and the EVE-INGAME website and also to everyone who has sent me encouraging messages. One of the nicest (and surprising?) things about the GE was that I NEVER received any negative feedback – that was greatly appreciated – Thank you.
If anyone wishes to continue working with the domain www.eve-ingame.co.uk or even use it for a new website please let me know. You can email me at [email protected] . It’s registered for a couple of years and would be a shame if it wasn’t used. Also if anyone would like to continue with the Enquirer please do so.
I have quite a few items in my hanger that I think I will just jettison into space during my travels in my last month in the game. There are a few valuable items including original BPs so keep a look out ;-) I may even dump a cruiser somewhere………..
My biggest regret about leaving is that I won’t be able to continue to read the forums and player only news, just so I can keep up with the storyline and see who is p*ssing off who this week Ha Ha! Maybe I’ll see you around in the next couple of weeks but if not..
Goodbye ‘and thanks for all the fish’

I dont quite buy the lack of time excuse. For me, the whole beauty of eve is that you don't have to play it much at all.
You can train skills the whole time and never play. Then, when you have the time (or a few days - whatever) you can play as much or as little as you wish.

Personally I think you do need more time than I can commit to enjoy EVE fully. I also believe that the ú9 a month can be put to better uses. (more Beer !!) Its my PERSONAL opinion. Thats why I am quitting. Roxane Editor - Gallente Enquirer

turn on the lights in the house, and leave, leave the lights on 24/7 just to waste money, so the lights will be "trained" when you need them
players spend money to enjoy a game, not let the game sit idle for days, weeks, months, just to check in and see if there is anything introduced by ccp's "soon(tm)" pr goons
spend the money elsewhere, and enjoy it
if eve is not fun anymore, quit, and save that money for a new game worth playing
