Paste the following into a batch file called "cleancache.bat" and save it into your "EVE\cache" folder then double-click after patching to clean your cache.
Tested on XP only - the syntax might be slightly different for windows 2000 or vista.
Quote: del /q Browser\Img del /q Pictures\Blueprints del /q Pictures\Gids del /q Pictures\Planets del /q Temp\Mapbrowser
rmdir /s /q MachoNet mkdir MachoNet
Note: Portraits aren't cleaned - if you want to clear those out as well, add the following:
Quote: del /q Pictures\Portraits
If you don't know what you are doing, then please do not use this batch file - it may set fire to your collection of antique snowballs

Because having a shortcut on the desktop to the batchfile you can simply double click to purge your cache > than opening up windows explorer and finding the dir to delete.. Yes we are an efficient (read: Lazy.. ) breed here in Eve..

Of course actually going to the folder its in and manually deleting it is no peoblem.. But a desktop icon takes two clicks and its done whilst it takes 14 clicks and opening and closing a program to do it without the shortcut.. As to whether that is worth setting a batch file up for is your call I guess.. I'm Lazy so its already been implimented..

Edited by: Veras Mendacity on 31/01/2007 01:09:50 What do those "MachoNet" lines do? Why is there an extra linespace before those two entries?
