I just logged in for the 2nd time this morning. It appears the problem has been resolved, or is unique to some PCs.

Unique or not, it's a same.We want to play and we had no problem before patch so needs to FIX it. Not after two weeks or so. NOW!! I'm just wondering if CCP were accept my payment after two or three weeks delay!I guess they wouldn't. So I'm not accepting that crampy patch.

Me too,
Everything was fine until I patched. Now both servers are just "Unknown".
(This is on my laptop, when I get home tonight I'll see if the problem affects my gaming rig too.)

Rename your cache folder "cache2" or "cachebackup", then restart EVE and see if it can detect TQ. If not, go back and replace the renamed folder to "cache" again (delete the one that's made in its place).
Remember to phone your ISP and see if they're having any problems, as thousands are on the server - meaning the patch works just fine.
Look at your own setup/connection before blaming CCP ;) ---

If you have any sort of software firewall, make sure it didn't block eve when the exe changed due to the patch. Some firewalls will do this silently.
Also temporarlily disable one of you have one and see if you can connect to the server.
Also if someone else would be so kind to post the IP, run a tracert or ping to the servers and see if you have a physical connection.

Mine just hangs now on 'acquiring bulk data'...
Perhaps its downloading an .xls of the profits ccp make out of us users vs the money they spend fixing these bugs ;)

I was able to resolve it by re-installing Eve to a different folder.

It may be a firewall issue. To test this (i know its unwise) temporarily disable your fire wall and try to connect to eve. With the new patch your firewall may not automatically reconfigure your EVE access to the net. You may have to go into your firewall proggies options, remove the current access for eve and then re-add it.

that last post did the trick!!. i just uninstalled the game, then reinstalled it to some random other folder. then went into my norton setting and removed the old evefile.exe setting and added the newly installed one which was just installed.

Hi folks. If you have any antivirus software try to remove and connect to Eve see what is happening:).I had Kaspersky and the same problem wich solved after this process. Seems to me the new patch is changing the Eve exe and it is going to be silently so the antivirus software sometimes unable to recognise this. From now everything is ok to me so try this:)
