Greetings capsuleers!
I am very happy to announce we have a replacement to 'LogServer' which will work on both Windows and Mac OS X. EVE LogLite is a vast improvement on our old client log viewer and has native Cider & Wine support.
Note: You must be using the New Launcher to access LogLite.

Is that why an eve cmd.exe box popped up a minute ago and restarted my launcher? Or was there a different reason for that? |

We know it's not supported. We accepted the challenge e-ons ago (pun intended). Still, thank you for the best non-supported OS support ever.

Tried it out under wine 1.9.2 staging. Does not see clients. Trying to manually attach through ctrl+alt+shift+m does nothing.
Native build, though, does work with ctrl+alt+shift+m. |

I want to know why this doesn't just run in the back ground with the launcher - I don't like the fact that it opens up yet another app on my Mac. I am CDO for my computer and i don't like things just popping up all over the place.

How can one use this tool to glean real time information from the client?
I see it has a server mode and even listens on loopback but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get a feed of information from it other then manually saving the logs to a file. |

I'm just concerned that having open sourced it, makes it trivially easy to feed the info in real time into third party tools, e.g. for automated watching of local.
So my hope is that you deploy some kind of countermeasures to detect malicious use,
e.g. restricting the amount of time it can be used. |

Since you open-sourced it: What are we allowed to do with it?
Can I write my own log server that would watch local for me and sound a buzzer if hostiles show up? The data is there, the coding would almost be trivial...

A couple things
1: When logging is turned on - it starts up when you launch a client: good.
2: I'm assuming the red and yellow ! marks are not good.
3: needs a way to automate uploading of the info to you all, so you can look at all these errors.
