Has anyone noticed this last patch made all the skill books cost a noticeable amount more isk to purchase? Is this normal? Will the prices return back to their pre-patch levels? I remember seeing Gallente Battleship books in vast quantities on the market for 3.3mil now the cheapest one I can find anywhere is closer to 3.8/3.9.

Hey,
Are you in Gallente space? If not its probably that people are hauling them around and selling them for a profit..thus they are more expensive.

I priced the book in Sinq Liason, Essence, Verge Vendor, The Citadel, The Forge, and Lonetrek. The book prices just seem off in some regards. I initially thought it was the players adjusting the books untill I noticed that the sell orders themselves are by the NPCs. Theres almost always 833 books on sale for an amount of time a player cant select when making a sell order. Any ideas on whats going on?

All NPC sales are driven by demand. Each item has a starting price and a minimum price. For things like skill books that aren't normally in high demand, the price tends to drop to the minimum pretty quickly and stay there.
The recent patch seems to have reset the prices on at least some items, but they seem to be steadily falling.

Big patches break NPC prices temporarily. This happened a few months ago when they put us on the "Dragon" patch. After a few days, the prices will drop down to their normal levels.

Yup, prices are up... perhaps they simply fixed the supply/demand aspect of the pricing. Previously prices would rise by .01 or so on a 3 million isk item. The weirdest thing is that if you buy 10 of them the price will DROP. Makes little sense to me.

Yes, I feel your pain. I was just about to purchase a Caldari Carrier book and Capital Ship book; the more pricey the book the more exasperated the price
