No, seriously. -Ever-
Privateers is a concept that simply won't fade away because how easy\fun\profitable it is. Other people pay them to war-dec well, other people. So the alliance it self isn't going to run out of cash, since very little of it comes from their own pocket.
No really. -ever- --------------- PvP in EvE is not consentual.

Each corp within Privateers has to pay for a war dec a week. A number of corps have stated they have to leave because the isk is simply not there. Others have stated there is a finite time in which they can remain in the Privateers alliance.
I am guessing the ships that get blown up have to be replaced in the usual way as well, by paying for them.
There was certainly a good deal of talk at the start of the hauler ganking phase of Privateers that it was actually a profitable business all these empire wars.
This is before alliances used alts to cart stuff about and got combat pilots shooting Privateers coz they discovered just how fun and easy it was to shot people used to shooting haulers.
Ollobrains was leading the charge of the mouth brigade till he was silenced on these boards and has of course since slunk away from Privateers.
So many have disappeared to be replaced by fresh faced youths thinking they are the next best thing.
So jump into the meat grinder that is Privateers, you know I want you too.

FWIW I have an alt in Privateers and it is simply a blast. I never worry about ISK won/lost as much as a good fight or laughing at myself when I would say "OMFG did I just get blowed up good!"
Of course I also approached it as a harsher Eve U/"Frig Wars on steroids" than a way to make a living. I learned quite a bit about different ships, gang tactics, solo tactics, different kits, etc. Sure, not all of those lessons apply to 0.0 but it certainly has opened up my eyes to at least try different things. I don't really think it is possible to have "too much" experience in PvP. Even if some of that experience is of limited use it is still knowlege that can be applied to other situations.
Privateers brought FUN and learning together for me and for that I'll always thank them. ----------

Sadly, no. We need to rebuild our corporation and our ISK's. Having a corporation that relyes too much on few people will eventually come down and thats what happened to us. As in ISK wise, most of us are newbies or green in PvP so heavy losses were imminent. But we will learn and carry on, no need to go "boo-hoo" mode here. Few lvl4 missions and ISK's starts rolling in. Playing Caldari-Online as a Amarr specced is PURE Hardcore

Your words warms my heart . Aside if it was right or not, I personally enjoyed. We learned alot of ourselves and about PvP. Next coal is to seek out partnership with someone whos in 0.0 and perhaps in future establish relations to gain 0.0 access and figth along side some other alliance.
Those who says that being part of Privateers has "burned bridges" to other alliances .. they just don't know what they are talking about.

to all the idiots saying privateers is falling... are you dumb ? or just acting like it..
anyone or any corp can freely join and leave privateers any time and any day. Meaning you join , for 2 months , shoot till you r broken beyond anything leave 1 mont and gather isk and come back.
this will never fail. new corps ,old corps looking for easy action , lots of warrtargets will just join privateers.
and to the people saying you dun make isk in privateers... you must be one hell of lousy pvpers. any half decent pvper can solo roam around in a nos/ drone ishkur killing noob miners ( laser loot) , ransom miners , haulers kill unwarry travellers etc. How many of the alliances that priveteers dec fly t2 stuff? they often gatecamp the ammar- jita pipe and probably get some decent kills a day on those systems. and what bout the nanophoons that solo kill fully t2 fitted bc's etc.
yes privateers blob , they run , they hide if needed but they also kill quite alot. the only prolem i see is some of them flying tier3 bs (cost way to much)
but pls cut the crap bout this concept failing.

Ahh now i see why, you are a posting alt of Privateers, given you just called a lot of people leaving the alliance because of isk issues useless pvpers, its prolly best you hide.
Privateers are like the old joke about the workmans broom.
Having used the same broom for 20 years he is cited as an example to all in terms of thrift.
"How have you managed to keep the same broom for 20 years?" he is asked.
"Well it has not been easy, I have had to replace the brush 5 times and the handle 8 times."
Sure you say Privateers will never die.
But its meat grinder that has been created and as long as their are people willing to break their corps and isk for it (see OP) then it will continue on.
The original "anarchy concept" has been reigned in somewhat and over time so will much more that the Privateers originally stood for.
More changes will happen, it will be a new brush here and new handle there.

But the broom still works and serves its purpose no?
Its a simple device and only so much can be changed. No matter what parts u do change odds are it will still work as intendid. From what I've seen and heard the Privateer Alliance functions the same way. Its suppose to be very simple and basic so as parts/corps change in and out it continues to work. After all, aside from the few people managing it the alliance doesnt rely on any one member/corp/function to keep running as far as I can tell.

My corporation, Space Perverts left Privateers alliance due number of reasons:
1. We lost most of our best pilots to other corporations 2. We didn't have playerbase to support income for alliance payment
Thus, we saw that it was better to leave Privateers and wish them good luck. We had a very nice few months and we enjoyed every moment. We had some nice blobs and we jumped to blobs and run away in our pods but game is game . I would like to thank Stige and Patso for providing me so much more experience in PvP and corporation running than I could ever get. Also thanks for many people who was in my corporation making empire wars fun while killing those 15000+ wartargets in their .. noobships and haulers . Thank you also to Privateers!
My corporation will now return to small scale empire harasment and noobship killing. We will also return to plex running and mission running due our pockets being empty.
Those who fought against us, I hope you have no ill word against us.
Peace out people!

Great having ya with us. Ignore the curtain-twitchers (o/ omega man nice to see we offended you so much you followed us here).
Privateers alliance AS I HAVE SAID MAAAAANNNNNYYY TIMES, is a roll-in roll out alliance. Corps like the PERVS came in for a week and stayed three months. They caused massive amounts of damage and got plenty PVP practice. Now they go to pursue their own path with our blessing.
Its a shame they are leaving, but all out war can get tiring after a while. Even i sometimes tire of killing ships and podding pilots and taking all their loot *wipes away a tear*. Then i remind myself that this is a righteous cause, and the enemy alliances must be driven back into 0.0. THEY MUST I TELL YOU.
PERVS are welcome back anytime, and of course individual pilots are free to take a tour of duty with the privateer corp for free.

Lol i like the analogy. Theres another story about a broom but its will be more familiar to the poor grunts labouring under the jackboot of the enemy alliance hierarchy.
Its the broom that is inserted up the grunts rectum so he can sweep up at the same time as he is enforced mining/camping/escorting a hauler. And what happens to all the isk generated when the Alliance goes down the pan.
Ask ASCN
How much of that isk filtered down to the masses who had actualy earned it??
