Yea!
ebay has taken down all intellectual property sales, inlclusing isk sales and module sales and ships and lions and tigers and bears, oh my.
I'm sure there's still place to sell isk, but at least the MAJOR marketplace is out of order for good.
I wonder how fast this will make macrominers go away...or are they more tenacious than that? I hope not.

In theory, yes, they have (and yes, that was last week), but in practice: have you tried searching eBay for "eve-online"?
Hopefully they'll get around to our neck of the woods before christmas.

Anyway ccp will give you $ for isk if you use the Affiliate Program and time cards so you don't need to use ebay to make $ from isk
and it's totaly legit
just sign up for affiliate and make alt accounts using a timecard and get $7 from ccp for every timecard

amen! I'm all for discussing and shutting down macro cheating scum, but for heaven's sake, there's like a dozen topics on this very subject all over the place, and in every one of them the falisy in the siuation is routinely pointed out...
ebay is doing only a moderate job of going through on this great crusade to stop such auctions/sales, and on top of that all that stopping ebay sales is going to do is make people refer back to the zillions of gold/credit/isk/MMO-money sites out there instead.
stopping it on ebay is a good first step, but it's far from the end-times for MMO money sellers. Any hit against them is good, but active and aggressive persuit by the game makers themselves is what's proven most effective over all... now if we can just get some here...

So we get rid of the macro miners.. (mining being a profession with all the excitement of watching Old people breathe...).. then how long before the whines start on "OMFG.. everything is so expensive!! why aren't builders selling their stuff cheaper!!....
*sigh* already min prices for the more common trit and pyr have risen drematically, this has a heavy negative effect on the builders and those buying their stuff. You can't have it ALL.. you want lower prices for stuff then MacroMiners will be a necessary evil IMHO.
Funny thing is the very same peeps that yell the loudest about macrominers.. will the the first in line to scream when inflation starts to hit their isk wallets.. irony is a cold beeyotch...
OH.. and ITBL..

Kyreax, you can't even get the basic facts right. It's game IP, and not all games for that matter. Ebay is also not the major marketplace for selling ISK, that's this forum (gametime codes).
The macrominers are not linked to Ebay. They're linked to IGE and Yantis. The very people who have been boosted by this annoucement. So you can expect considerably MORE macro miners.
Try doing your research, k?
