Bas Rutten	Posted - 2003.12.10 09:03:00 - [2] Well, here we go: lost 4 ships so far. 1. Scythe downed by npc in Stain ages ago, what really sucked about it I had to go 70 jumps back in a noobship 2. Stabber downed by Red Corsairs, also ages ago, failed blockade attack. 3. Blackbird killed at a jump in by CA when I was still CFS, expected loss actually. 4. Scorpion and pod lost to GWP guys. Engaged a Megathron and a Scorp, Scorp was jammed, another Scorp came and I decided to rather run. Got chased through a couple systems when they caught me at a station. Didn't make it to dock with the damaged ship so had to warp out, well, tried, when I got stuck in warp with a nice frozen screen of warp gfx, threat window gone, still taking damage. BOOM. Same stuff happened to pod, end of story lol. Still kudos to the guys chasing me, good job. ____________________________________ Deny the Urge - brutal Death from Germoney

Lost four punishers in the Amarr Championship tournament finals (lost none in the house trials) No pods lost, I'm still Version 1. I don't get into a lot of fights though, I'm more of a manager. First time I was actually webbified and warpscrambled by NPC Lost a Reaper to those same Serps going back to see what was left of my gear. Never fly anything I either cannot afford to lose or cannot replace.

I Went into warp in my beautiful raven - crashed to desktop and came back to an ibis (shuddder) I warped straight into an Evolution corp meeting - as about 8 members of their corp killed me according to my concord eve mail. To lose a raven outside of combat is truely a terrible thing, but on a brighter note they give u one piece of tritanium to get back on your feet, so its not all bad! Share my pain - donations welcome

'course, this is when someone decides to claim my bounty. Your 425mm Prototype I Gauss Gun perfectly strikes some nublar, wrecking for 1155.0 damage.
Ch'ryl	Posted - 2003.12.10 14:27:00 - [17] 1 merlin to gate guns before I worked out missile splash damage was. 1 merlin and pod to a guy in a megathron who was 'bored' 1 moa to npcs - warped in and found myself less than 10km away from a spawn of 3 20k and 3 30k rats, warp scrambled and webbed...it didn't take long lol 1 badger and pod to triniton and hatur - had managed to escape them at the jump-in, only to have them follow me to the gate Why is it that when someone tells you that there are over a billion stars in the universe, you believe them, but if they tell you there is wet paint somewhere, you have to touch it to make sure?

It was my first cruiser and only became 2 days old, but still got my kill though... ...and with the light all life vanished...

That said I put platinum insurance on my Scorp, so I am assuming I'll get into a lethal fight in the next couple of weeks or I did kinda waste 21 mil. I find platinum insurance 100% calms my worries about losing a ship:) Platinum insurange is at least as much peace of mind as flying a cruiser, and it allows you to be as courageous as you want with nothing to lose but your clone. As much as I love them, I always get caught mining without a weapon. I used to fly around in my newbie ship and start fights with frigates and cruisers then beg them not to freeze me. I've lost about 10 newbie ships. About 5 Bestowers to JIP and gate campers.

Wasn't too bothered - got it replaced immediately and, because my corp. mates are so great, they politely destroyed Acidic's Apoc and Hype's Scorpion. I also got most of my modules back from my loot can and what Hyperbaton left Lost plenty of frigates to NPC's and one cruiser. LEEEEERRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

Reaper Grim	Posted - 2003.12.11 06:12:00 - [34] Edited by: Reaper Grim on 11/12/2003 06:19:30 hmm, since release ive lost 2 x Rifters to npc (first month of game) 1 x Atron (intercorp frig fight) 1 x Celestis (to freindly fire as i showed up as derelict of all things) oh and concord decided to destroy a Dominix of mine :( (proved to be game bug and ship was replaced ) and won approx 34 1v1 or 2 vs me fights and hardly any war fights as im not a fan of large scale combat (56k modems are bad in big fights - got broadband now so will start to play again soon) Reaper Grim (my sig wont work ) just realised how off topic all this has got.... i dont know why people are affraid to loose ships, probably because they got into ships before they could afford top loose them (battle ships). i expect to loose lots of ships from now on, and pods, as im vetoeing battleships, from now on to fly frigates and the odd cruiser. (am 99.9% certain i will regret this decision as soon as i start fighting again)

I lost 1 kestrel to sentry guns, 1 kestrel to a corp mate in some fun we had. I know have my tempest and I have had it since late august, and I don't use it for mining! (would use an apocalypse anyhow for that) And to answer your question, people don't like to say when they lost a ship, cause well they lost the fight. And there will always be people who will flame that person and call him a tard for losing his ship to whatever situation. No one wants to be flamed, unless they are trying to be flamed like some people show a tendancy to do. And no one likes to admit a loss cause that is saying that you are inferior to some other thing in the game, and no one likes to be inferior. "I'm comin' for ya, and Hell's comin' with me!"

Sutty killed my scout condor in H-PA in the FA/VA war (and was a little too proud of that, IMO. :D ) Finally lost the Scorp I've been flying for four months last Sunday in the infamous ill-fated attack on a ForsA jump-in camp. That Scorp had been near-death at least a dozen other times, but I finally asked a little too much of her. :D
