You've heard it before but here's some metrics for tonight.
15052 Players Online Mission running in the Motsu area (ya ya carebear yada yada) System = Komo Players in System = 40 Ping = 175ms (N.A. -> London)
Time delay for an action to register (e.g. missile reload, fire, drone launch, attack, return, warp) = 10-12 seconds.
I kid you not. This is absurd. only 15k ppl online, only 40 in system, another 100-140 in Motsu. I know CCP you're trying to change a lot of things, and your whole need for speed, but come on, this kind of performance hit is crazy.
Flame away, this is just my observations (using a stop watch and good old ping.exe) and my opinion.

Agree, it was unbearable tonight. Was in a system 1 jump over from Isenairos (something starting with a U, forget the name), 20 ppl in local. At one point I think it took me nearly a minute to get drones to deploy. Was so laggy that I just gave up on trying to complete my mission tonight.
CCP, I can understand that you'll have some hiccups in the ultra-crowded systems or when the server is under heavy load, but this is simply unacceptable.

i think what happens is closer to dt they power down some nodes middle of night etc or something like that and there is less overall node support available than versus busy times

It's an hour to DT in Laah and it's taking 45 or seconds to actvate modules. God help us as it gets closer to DT.
The lag has definitely been getting worse around these systems since the last couple of patches. Maybe it's CCPs way of moving mission runners away without nerfing/removing agents.
edit: PS it's taken 3 minutes to jump from Laah to Motsu and that's with no traffic control...

im not against nerfing mission runners - i mean they can spread out lots of unused amarr space but yeah maybe the balancing software is a bit off

No lag here doing missions in Empire. Although, it could just your on a dodgey node currently Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed filesize of 24000 bytes - Devil p.s. I love you([email protected]) |

It was all the downloads for patching and new bulk data updating. I think we can forgive patch day lagging.
