Well there I was zipping about last night doing some agent running (getting ready for tech 2) & as usual I'm barely awake (because the missions get a little repetitive don't they!).
I warp through a gate & suddenly it's like Christmas & New Year's day all at once, I've got about 8 threats come up & before I can say 'eep' I'm being lit up by Tank CEO!
Well I managed to get away with only some stain marks on the inside of my pod to show for it but it really did liven up the evening for me.
So this is just a quick note to say thanks Tank, you scared the cr@p out of me for a minute but you really did lift the game experience for me last night!

I mean c'mon, just think about it. What would make more sense then the 3 most hated alliances teaming up to lay waste to the people they all hate anyways? CA is already allied with PA, and TPS lies between the two alliances. Natural allies to be sure. But it's not just that, all but PA (and even some of them) have adopted a "stfu and die, or come and fight us, we don't give a **** what you think or do" philosophy, as well as a PvP Kill everyone not friend kind of mentality. These are the people in eve that kill or convert, the ones dedicated to the death of others, because history, circumstance, and the rest of eve have driven then to do so (except TPS, who are just cool ass pirates ). |

It really doesn't take a warp-in gank trap guys ...
Some of my most exciting moments with Eve thus far have involved playing cat and mouse with proper decent pirates.
Out in the depths of 0.0.
Being hunted and trapped with a valuable cargo.
Waiting in the silence of space, rushing past blockades ... double backs, psychological warfare in local. Glancing blows and glorious escape.
These things take time.
Real tension needs real engagements.
Not some stupid turkey shoot by a fat jabba pirate too lazy to stir from prime camping zone.

I generally drink 3-4 beers before PvPing then keep it up.
Numbs the adrenalin effect.
