Edited by: Katrina Coreli on 02/02/2007 21:20:35 Ive been wondering how you are all fitting these post rev, i know everyone loves the 2 x NOS and 2 x 75mm setups but now that almost all cruisers are fitting NOS ive been wondering about alternatives, that could stay out of med NOS range when fighting cruisers and still have a nice turn of speed for Frig killing and tackling.
What do y'all reckon to this?
Highs 3 x 125 mm ll 1 X Named NOS
Meds 1 x Scram 1 x Web 1 x Tech 2 MWD
Lows 1 x SAR ll 1 x 200 mm plate 1 x MAPC
Looks sound, it can easily stay out of NOS range and take them apart with drones while remaining speedy and great at tackling Thoughts?
Ideas for the empty High would be good, Remote Armor reps sound abit pointless for a pvp boat

No need for NOS, drop it & you can drop the fitting mod. Your out of range.
No need for the Webber either. Might as well use a Cap Recharger or something to keep your MWD running just alittle longer to stay out of that Cruisers NOS range.
Scram normally refers to 7.5km. Disrupters normally refer to 20km ones. Make sure you have the right one on there, they take lots cap, but range is what you seem to want.
200mm Plate, drones are as common as NOS, and most people use atleast a few Explo drones. You'd probably be better off with a Energised Adaptive, but thats just me.
In your last low slot, you can either keep the plate, or fit a Relay to keep it all running longer. Long range setups take alot of cap, the 20km disrupter will break the bank. So will the MWD.
Make sure you take out hostile drones first with yours.

I haven't flown my Ishkur in a while, but the last setup I came up with is:
3x 125IIs named mwd, scram, small cap booster sarII, eanmII, ex hardenerII tech2 valks & warriors

I meant a 20km disruptor just to clarify. I may well swap out my lows for a SAR, Exp Hard and a Cap Relay but i love the survivability of a 200 plate.
This is meant to be a duel purpose setup, long range vs Cruisers and short range for tackling and frig killing but cap could be a problem, hence why i put a small NOS on. If its unsustainable to keep out of range while running a longe range fit a cap relay may well be useful

Kermit doesn't think a plate and MWD on an Ishkur is very good, as its already slow and the MWD might only get you to 1300m/s with bad agility.
If you want a tackling setup go for this:
High: 3x Light Ion Blaster II 1x Small Named Nos
Med: 1x MWD II 1x Fleeting Warp Scrambler 1x X5 Prototype Web
Low: 1x Small Armor Repairer II 1x Named Damage Control 1x Named Inertia Stabilizer

3xNeut2 1xDim Nos 1xMWD2 1x7.5 1xWeb 1xSAR2 1xExpHardener2 1xMAPC
I find the damage to be unmatched, but it's not sustainable full time... the SAR is mostly for between fights as such
if you throw in explosive drones you do arguably the 3 best damage types, though there's nothing wrong with going with hammerheads and hobgoblins for absolutely crippling DPS
will fit without AWU, and can be easily switched to a full nos setup if you downgrade the repper to best named...
I find that the old tricks still work, though I haven't flown this particular setup in awhile

NOS setup:
4x nos
1x MWD 1x disruptor 1x webby
2x SAR II 1x reactive EANM 1x MAPC
a ranged setup would look something like this for me:
3-4x 125mms
1x MWD 1x web 1x disruptor
2x CPR 1X SAR II (between fights) 1x reactive plating
sigs are dead and CCP killed them

Looks like a sound setup but wouldnt engaging any cruiser with a decent tank and NOS be mad?

was getting ishkur and enyo mixed up. the NOS setup would have a MAPC and 2x SAR IIs in the lows. as for the ranged one, well you can have 3x 125mms in the highs and some passive tank in the lows.
