You know, I think I'm the typical Glaux member. Haven't been in-game that long (5 months or so), and have focused on industry: I fly exhumers, have perfect refines, ME is at 5 and I have some bonus skills to sell/buy/whatever. That's the part of the game that I enjoy.
Forsaken likes to fight. They say they're not pirates, but members like Zensige who have bottomed out their security status and like to engage any available target in any system make me wonder if our definitions are way off -- we'd kick anyone from our corp who was popping barges and haulers for fun -- that's *my* definition of piracy at least. I suppose Forsaken and friends have another one.
So be it. We can agree to disagree on definitions.
I thought it was funny that the CEO of Forsaken decided to talk about the righteousness of his corporation's actions, and the corp members followed up and proved him a liar. Beautiful.
As for the rest, it is what it is. We want to mine and build in peace. Forsaken wants war targets to engage without sec status loss. UED and SL6 are following along, either because they're also craving a fight, or because they can't objectively evaluate what's going on.
Hey - that's Eve. The land of unregulated markets and wild-west style lawlessness.
But the lies to justify what's happening are just lame. You want a fight, and you thought we'd be an easy target. Maybe you thought we'd surrender every valuable moon and give you an easy 3 billion ISK for the cost of your war dec. Whatever. It is what it is -- bullying or extortion or whatever you want to call it -- and Eve is good that it gives players that kind of outlet, if that's what they define as "fun."
So have fun. Play the game. But don't that there's something good, justified, or righteous about bullying.
And yes, Glaux and friends may have popped a few SL6/UED barges, haulers, and POSes (I don't know that Forsaken has any industry to speak of, only warships). Check the dates though -- these were only done to war targets, after y'all dec'd us. We never asked for any of this.
