Fenian continues his quest in enlightening the citizens of EVE not to trust strangers.
The victims this time around will henceforth be known as T1 and T2.
Fenian > Yep

T1 > what kind of time frame and how much is price?

Fenian > The way we've done it in the past is we take a 5.5b (25%) ISK deposit from the buyer. It's enough to get us started on building the components and shows us you're serious about the deal.

Fenian > When the ship is ready we petition to a GM
Fenian > They move us to a station to do the final trade
Fenian > Just so you know it won't be this corp doing the construction, I'm fronting a rather large 0.0 alliance that handles construction and security.

T1 > the timeframe is perfect
Fenian > I've spoken with my directors and we can start compressing minerals as soon as 3-4 hours from now.
Fenian > I need to set up large buy orders aswell, but those usually get filled within a day or two.
Fenian > We've got enough to start the first week or compressing.

I can simply not believe it. The fact that people put such large sums of money up front, without any kind of proof that they'll get their ship, is just incredible.
Once my funds start to run low again, I'll probably do something like this as well tbh.

Another unlikely fact is that generally the only people who fall for such scams are the newest of the new. It is unlikely that even newbies who have purchased isk will have 22 billion just "laying about".
22 billion isk = 6 90 day time card sales
or
2200000000 (isk) / 35000000 (avg sale price of 90 time card)
= 6.28 90 day time cards
or $270
yeah...right (still)

Wow, a job well done. Surprised they didn't think it was fishy when you said you'd petition a GM. hah.
I had considered going scammer a long time ago, I just can't deal with it morally. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. Seems like it takes more intestinal fortitude to accept the fact you're someone that screws other people out of money, and there aren't even explosions. :(
Oh and btw, think I could get a deal like that on a momship too? that would be great contact me ingame ;p
