Long Story:
Ok, so I was listening to Ride Of The Valkyries on my comp, when me mum comes in and says that thats the Alton Towers Theme. So I tell her she's mistaken, and try to hum/sing/whistle the actual Alton Towers theme back. I have a search on the t'internet for it, and I'm quickly reminded by t'internet that the song in question is called 'In The Hall Of The Mountain King' by the composer Peer Gynt.
I first kick myself for not remembering the name of the song and/or composer, and being searching the interweb for the song title instead. This is where is gets fun. I find a link to (have a quick glance, then come back to this page) this page, which hands over, on a silver platter, THIRTY SIX different MP3 files of tracks that were inspired by Peer Gynts unquestionably great composition. But that's not the best bit. On closer examination of this page, I learn that something that I find very cool was inspired by Peer Gynt. I had never noticed it before, but now that I listen to it, I can hear the connection. Now I have even more love for the wonderful, the undeniable coolnessness, the ultimate crime fighting man....

Short Story:
Click me, it's fun.

I have to add, that from that website, I found\downloaded\listened\liked this version too. That hard beat that kicks in, sounds just like the beat in this mental Xmas Video. (Which I also love, for obvious reasons).
Wow. I'm betting this is the most fun I'll ever have writing an Eve forum post. :-) Thanks for sharing it with me! :-)
I got my sig snipped again. Can someone make me a new one? |

btw the name of the composer of "in the hall of the mountain king" is Edvard Grieg, "Peer Gynt" is a fictional character from one of Henrik Ibsens books

Just got to be pedantic and say Peer Gynt is the name of a play featuring In The Hall of the Mountain King, the composer of it was actually Evard Grieg. Er... carry on. __________________________________________ "In girum imus nocte, et consumimur igni."

Hmm. Thanks for the heads-up. Don't know why I've always thought that.
