humm the devblog from back then said something about them being spread evenly across the galaxy. i wouldn't be surprised if their difficulty depends on the security level but if their "scan strength" (the thing working against probes) does, too or then directly depends on the difficulty? tough one...

System security has nothing to do with difficulty of finding a site, that is dependant on the site itself. Your first port of call should be to launch a multispectral probe to see IF there is ANY signatures in the system. ________________________________ ~Jiekon ~CCP QA

I just recently got an interest in exploration and know little or nothing about the proces, sofar i only launched a multispectral probe which resulted in nothing, so wondering if anyone has a link to a thread/site/any info on this?
What i know sofar is, fit probelauncher on ship, fit probes (i got some multispecs and some magneto ones as i will most likely spend my probing in gall space so i thought magneto signatures would be the most common, or am i wrong in this respect?) go out, launch multi probe, select a signature and hit scanbutton. but then? what happens when i find something using the multispec?
Anyways any help/links will be appreciated. Resized tag... again... hope this pleases the tag ninjas from ccp... again :p

is 1 scan with multi enough to 100% get ANY signatures? hmmm now seeing its 1mio strength, so i guess i should get results 100%

It should actually be harder to find stuff in lower sec status as the lower you get the better sites there will be and the better the site the harder it is to find.

The only thing I've seen that is sec related is the quality of the ore in hidden belts. Hidden belts usually have the next lowest 'tier' of ore quality than the sec rating of the system.
I generally just search low-sec systems because they are sparsely populated, there fore more likely a site hasn't been found/in-use.
