Hi there, Looking to put together a nice fit(s) for sansha null ratting. Want something that can run every anomaly and can improve my ticks (currently doing 15mil ticks with a VNI 100mnab heavies fit)
This is kind of what I have so far using curators II:
Low: 3x DDA 1x Cap flux coil II 2z BCS
Med: Omnidirectional tracking link/range Pith X LSB Pith X EM ward Pith X Thermal Shield Boos Amp II LMJD??? Cap recharger II
High: 5x Rapid Heavy Mussile Launcher II / t1 inferno stuff
Rigs: 3x CCC
With all VGÇÖs curators range is about 63km / missiles 61km / dps 1150 / shield boost 537 / 72% EM / 76 Therm
What I was thinking was to warp at 70 drop sentries and start shooting stuff as they come. What do you think? Not sure about the prop.
Also was hoping you could help me with a variation to this fit that can run escalations.
Thanks in advance.
(Pith x stuff is not that expensive) |

Honestly, everybody has their own opinion on fits. Mine? Dead rats do no DPS so I get up close and personal
Low: 3x T2 DDA 3x T2 BCS
Med: 2x Pith X EM Ward 1x Pith X Therm 1x LMJD 1x Gist X Large Shield booster 2x PWNAGE painters
High: 5x T2 Cruise - Fury Therm 1x Corpus X-type Heavy Nos
Rigs: 1x T2 Rigor 2x T2 Flare
Depending on your missile/target painting skills, you may benefit more from 2x T2 Rigor and 1x T1 flare.
Drones can be Curators or Praetors(Praetors would be for static spawn anomalies like rock havens)
Now the difference between my fit and yours, is I'm assuming you're shooting for crapstable. You're also using rapid heavies, which the dps is nice...the reload is terrible. Also, due to how fast they fire you are more likely then not to waste a volley(which is huge).
The main thing to remember about ratting with missile boats is volley counts more then dps. My fit is predicated upon being able to 1 shot Battlecruisers(You may need 3%+ missile implants to achieve this effect depending on your missile skills). The more volleys you save, the faster you kill rats, the more isk you make.
With my stats it's 1278 dps, 649 ehp/s and everything runs for ~10 minutes if you stick your nos on a unassuming npc ship. Personally, I like static spawn anomalies such as the rock havens where I can use heavy drones. So you could kick the dps up to 1328 if you went that path.
I warp into Anoms at 30 km, deploys drones and pew pew pew. Shoot the wrong trigger and getting pressured? Moonwalk out with LMJD. Half-asleep and get tackled? If it's only a warp disruptor ^_^ align to a safe pos/station, activate LMJD and moonwalk out.
Obviously my fit would poop itself in an escalation. I usually used a Marauder for 10/10s when I did them. Never having done Sansha escalations, I'll leave that to somebody else to answer.
As for money, I'd get 30--35 million isk ticks before tax. Don't forget system size matters greatly. Anoms spawn near celestials so the bigger the system, the farther the celestials can be, the longer the warps are and the less money you end up making. |

Thanks for your imput,
Ended up doing 3ddaGÇÖs 3bcsGÇÖs in low Pith x em, pith x therm, 2x large shield extenders, 2x invulnGÇÖs, omnidirectional in the mids 5x RHML II and drone link augmentor II 3x L core def. Field purg. Carry praetor II / Curator II in the bag
I get 1300 dps with my skills, 147k ehp and 377 pasive regen per second 83%em 86% therm. Give it or take.
I should be good with the anomalies and in theory be able to run up to 8/10 (warping out in the last room)

The dps never translates properly from a missile boat to sansha rats.
I've ratted a 1400dps snake next to an 1100 dos pally and the pally gets tics about 20% greater |

I've never really been a fan of passive tanking, because occasional you'd have to dock up/catch reps, if you took to much damage in an anom. Also, if I'm ratting and I can fit a MJD, I never not fit a MJD. It's just too good.
If you go through Rattlesnake losses on zkillboard, you will see the vast majority of them were caught with their panties down and probably would have lived had they fit a LMJD.
Rat have you tackled when a neut comes in? moonwalk out with MJD. Interceptor scout comes in and points you with friends on the way? Moonwalk out before his friends land on grid. It does not protect you from scram/infinite point, but nothing in EVE is 100% safe.
That's just how I look at it. |
