I read a number of your posts and it sounds like your not aware extenders boost HP regen. You mention 1 large repper but doesnÆt that give less HP regen then extenders on a Drake and less restiance?

Drake can be fitted to tank level 4s just fine in both active and passive setups. The problem you are going to run into is a lack of damage output to kill the battleship spawns in a reasonable timeframe.

wat do u class as a reasonable timeframe??

Thats has nothing to do with that.
The point is that a raven with cruise does 25% more dps vs serp and gurista BSs and 55% more dps vs everything else than the drake does.
Meaning the drake takes a good deal more time to complete BS heavy missions.

reasonable timeframe = Remotely close to the time it takes a dominix/raven to kill the same spawn.
Don't get me wrong here. I love my drake but I also know for a fact it is the wrong tool to use on level 4s. Makes more sense to use my raven for level 4 where I can kill two NPC battleships before needing to reload the launchers.

 I regularly do lvl 4s in my Drake solo and always with a passive tank. You need to get it set up correctly and in order to take down those Battleships I have added to damage modifier rigs, doing nearly 300 damage with kinetic heavies.
Yes it may be quicker to do a lvl4 in a Raven, but that takes longer to train up and it does not tank as well as the drake, And let's face it, if you don't intend doing missions all your life and waht to get into PVP caldari ships really suck!

Nope. HML T2 is just as fast as an Arbalest (12 sec. base ROF), but faster with HM Spec.
Skills and fitting constraints (and maybe price) is the correct answer.

For lvl 4's NH is the way to go with tech 2 heavy missile launchers. Wheter it be passive or active tanking. I would never use Drake. But before you can use NH.. Drake is fine. LIke my friends who hunted in ravens said when they swapped to NH. wholy **** this so much better and faster than a raven.
