I'm having a problem right now with the fleet. In our gang, we have 1 wing commander with lvl 3 Wing Command, controling 1 squad, with a squad leader (with no leadership skills), controling a squad of 8 people. The WC has gang bonuses, as well as a battlecruiser with a Warfare link module, and is within the same grid as his gangmates.
The problem is, when the fleet is set up like the way described above, the squad gets no gang bonuses of any kind, be it from the WC's skills or his BC's warfare link module. The WC himself however, goes get all of his skill/warfare link bonuses. However, if the WC is instead demoted to that squad's Squad commander, then everyone gets the skill/warfare link bonuses.
Does anyone know what we have to do to get this to work on a wing-wide level?

Because why would you want him as a wing commander if you only have 1 pilot with gang skills anyway?
Squad commanders need to have the Leadership skill at a level of [no. of squad members]/2 to pass on gang bonuses from his superior wing commander or fleet commander. That's what the skill is there for.

He's the WC cus there will be more ppl joining the wing... its just that there are 8 ppl in there for now. :) thanks for the answer :)

I believe that the squad commander may also need to have at least the leadership skill to be enable the bonus system for that squad. It is a good question though, and I honestly haven't been involved in many multiple-squad gangs so I haven't had a chance to look into the tier system yet.
For now though, I'd say stick the guy with the skills into the squad leadership slot until things get worked out.
