You already have GM clarification on it, and it doesn't need to be re-clarified, because ultimately last year's drone changes are irrelevant! Before the drone changes you could control 10 heavy drones this way (or 15 in the case of the Vexor )on ships, now the drones have double the hitpoints and do double the damage, but you can only control half as many. It's exactly the same situation. Unless of course you want to tell me that you also think being assigned fighters is an exploit? It's great not being Amarr, ain't it?

I was checking out the Sentry Drones descriptions and could envision some usefull tactics for them, admittedly, most rather situational. But the stats look kinda impressive. Does anyone use these on a regular basis? You would think a buncha Miners, or anyone who stays in one spot, would be able to defend themselves much easier with a dozen of these around.

You still have the capability to link 5 drones, you just don't have the capacity to carry them there yourself. Its not like you're going to stuff those fighters into your bay after all.

As for the drone issue everyone is on... If you want to be technical, in the RP background for EVE, aren't drones just linked to the ships onboard computer when controlling them? I really see no reason that controlling 5 heavy drones with only 25m3 drone space is a problem. Like someone previously stated, you may be able to control more drones than the ship would normally have space for, but you are also restricted to only having those drones in that current area.

The only thing not intended is that a ship with 50m3 dronebay carries 5 ogre IIs in the drone bay. This would be called exploit. But 'in-space'-dronecontrol is determinated by skills. nuttn else. So what he did was perfecly legal imho. and funny

They will show up on the scanner, you aren't exceeding any set limits, and it's not over powered since your stuck there. If drones could warp THEN it would be a problem. signature removed ...
