Hey.
I just bought a Purifier and needed some advices on setup.
First, I know bomber aint good, but till now I find them fun to play with.
Second, I wont engage a target while soloing (expect vs a t1 frig or hauler)
For now, my setup is
2 xt-9000 cruise launcher
1 prototype cloaking device I
2 empty highs
2 indirect scanning dampening unit (dampener)
1 named sensor booster (can't remember which one)
2 BCU I (no money for t2 but I have skill for them)
1 200mm plate.
Should I remove the plate for something else ? Am I missing something important ?
Any suggestion for the 2 low reminding ? I didn't think putting laser would be good, since engaging a target in the range of laser look like suicidal.

Drop the plate if you are getting shot at you are doing something wrong. What you should do is decloak within 26km (out of nos range), passive target, damp, volley and recloak, maybe get another volley off if they havent locked you.

ok, ur high and med seem fine, u could use an i-stab or a anano in that last low tho.
if you dont want to be that close to a target you can sit ~100km away from the target and decloak, lock, shoot, cloak, and just before missiles hit repeat the procedure.

In all honesty, spring for the Improved Cloak. I just did, and I fell in love with my Purifier all over again. Mine is similar to yours, but with the plate either switched for a nano/istab or this low slot module I just discovered that is a passive sensor booster (how long have those been around?).

since the dawn of time my friend, the dawn of time =P
yeah allways go improved unless its your like me (cheep and suicidal)
or you could of course go for the "Nuts Fitting"(TM) WTB (TM) tags... whats the alt code again?
nuts fitting (hound, but ajust to fit for another bomber, part from the manti)
High: 2 x cruise, 2 x ACs (pulse in this case), proto cloak
Med: AB, 20k scram, tracking disruptor/ecm burst
Low: CPR, nano
than laugh manically as you decloak on a frig who is looting the cans of your last victims =D
ofc u just dont decloak on anything that will kill you :P

and here's the real problem with the fittings on pulses... there's no way to fit even best named gatling pulse lasers on a purifier with that setup... it simply won't fit... but t2 150s will fit no problem
anyway, an alternative that foregoes the total damage for pure hauler gankage (some frigs too) is:
2xArby Cruise 1xImp Cloak
1x20km 2xPhased Damp
2xBCS2 1xCPU2

Really? I'll have to double check, but my Purifier had 2 DLBL II's on it a while back... hmm
